This is my opinion.
For the first six years of Abhir’s life, Abhinav just knew Abhir’s real father as someone who treated Akshara badly and refused to reconcile with her or her kid. So naturally, he lived in a delusional world where there would never rise a situation in which he would have to face the real father or even know that he still exists somewhere. But now that reality has hit him, and super hard at that, he is refusing to come out of that delusion. That’s when he repeatedly started calling himself muh bol baap in front of Akshara. So that she starts consoling him and that way, she can convince him that he is still Abhir’s real father. But when Akshara’s family got to know the truth and Abhir got to know half the truth, in his eyes, his position in Abhir’s life was slowly slipping away. So he started needing more assurance and not just from Akshara, but from her family as well. Akshara and her family are feeding into this delusion of his by repeatedly calling him Abhir’s real dad. All of this will only make things worse for him. I am pretty sure we will be hearing more such dialogues like this from him. This will only stop when someone from Goenka family or Akshara herself makes him understand that even though he looked after Abhir all these years as a father figure, he will never be his real dad, Abhir will always be Abhir Abhimanyu Birla. But nonetheless, Abhir still loves him. That will not change.
Also, with Abhir living with Abhimanyu now, chances are that he will slowly start accepting Abhimanyu as his real dad (unless writers choose for Abhimanyu to return Abhir to the Shamas in the next few episodes) and this will only make things worse for Abhinav without any realization.
