Whether it's here or social media whenever I mentioned Abhir's mental health the response was the same. He is happy and he doesn't have any problems. Or he was raised well and he is happy with the Sharma family. Now, that his distress is being shown will her cruel decision to lie to a child about his entire identity be acknowledged? He was happy because he didn't know anything. Ignorance is bliss lol. After he found about Abhinav not being his father he was happy with his parents, but still wanted to know about his real father. Abhir loves his parents and has shown his loyalty to them constantly, but they are still manipulating the situation. Why cheat when you're already winning?

While her decision wrong from the start, but I could sympathize with her because she was a new mother and she just got out of a coma. She was traumatized and emotionally weak. However, the next six years of lies, half-truths, and gaslighting after he found about Abhinav was beyond cruel. It was all intentional. Telling him they are going back to UD to fight a custody battle because his real father wants him was diabolical. His innocent curiosity about his father turned into a nightmare. The real father he wanted to meet, ask questions, talk to, and see is now a boogeyman thanks to his parents. I don't understand how that is being applauded as a happy family or love. Every decision about Abhir were hers only. She decided who his father would be without Abhi's knowledge or consent. She decided that he wouldn't meet his family, but ironically didn't hesitate to go back for Arohi or Mimi. When it's about her family it's important when it's about others she has no empathy. She decided where and how he should live. She decided not tell him the truth about his father even though he knew about Abhinav. The truth is she started all this and her family put the rest into motion. Manish restarted the custody battle and also put the condition that Abhir would have to live the rest of his life not knowing about his real father if Abhi lost. Abhi came into their lives six years later it's absurd to blame him for everyone else's actions. He couldn't even buy his son comfortable shoes because his old ones were torn.

I hate how dismissive ITV shows are about children and their trauma. However, I understand what I signed up for when I watch a ITV show, but still I hate it with a passion lol. Children are human beings with feelings, thoughts, and fears. I don't like watching children cry even if it's fictional. Sadly, I doubt any of the damage done to Abhir will be addressed. It's ITV so everyone will be dancing together soon, but her disregard for Abhir is terrifying. It won't happen but I hope we get see Abhir's track being explored. Children aren't cute little dolls that you can manipulate. I know that some people like them ( and I respect that), but the Sharma family always felt artificial to me. Now, makers are solidifying that their "happy family" can only work at the expense of others. First, it was Abhi's pain and now Abhir's fears.

People who have been supporting Abhimanyu for his want to coparent and hating on Sharmas for turning Abhimanyu into boogeyman are with you on the absolute disregard for the child's mental health by the parents. I said this somewhere else and I'll repeat it here, Sharmas believe they are a perfect happy family, if they believed that belief, none of this would have happened because their child himself said he wants to live with them. They couldn't trust Abhimanyu saying he doesn't want to separate, ok, but they couldn't even trust their own child. Sharmas believe they 3 are a happy family together, they are not ok with any one of them being happy without the others but. Which is why Abhir's happiness with Abhimanyu had grimaces on both the parents faces, which is why they converted Abhimanyu into the boogeyman with half truth to Abhir about custody and which is why they are still not thinking of the child and talking to him but rather focused on showing him their pain and tears. The lack of trust, the lack of putting child at the center in front is why for me Sharmas are bad parents now, full stop. They gave an amazing upbringing when the tides were low, but the minute tides turned high, they failed miserably at seeing their son's happiness and putting it before their own selfish needs and desires.

Agreed to each and every word of this.

Also, will it be okay if I take credit for boogeyman theory. 🫣 I see it's been picked up.

But all this apart. It is totally unjustified how they break the news to a small kid. As a parent, they should have control their emotions a little cause moving away and leaving a family you have known all your life is tough for a small kid. Telling him he is not going very far or to an unknown land wouldn't have hurt but everywhere it's being ignored conveniently.

Done! See it was so easy to share, now if only the show writers also realized that sharing is good! 🤣🤣

Valid points.

Their happy family's foundation is built on a lie (and millions of other lies to sustain it) that's why they are always scared and lack confidence. Akshara assures Abhinav of her loyalty and love, but it means nothing. Abhir has assured them of his loyalty, but it means nothing. It's a giant loop of them trying convince each other they are a family and love each other, but no one believes it lol.

@ bold Honestly, it doesn't seems like she believes it either. Most of the time it feels like she convincing herself to believe or otherwise her entire life is a failure. She doesn't handle consequences or reality well. She picks and restarts the game somewhere. The problem is she involved an child this time.

I don't think the Sharmas are bad people, but they are means justify the ends type of people. It doesn't matter how it happens or who suffers as long they get what they want. Their behavior is hypocritical and borderline cruel at times. They also change the narrative and rules based on what benefits them.

Completely agree.

@ bold I find it interesting how they pick and choose what to tell him. Before them his real father was someone he wanted to meet, but now he is a monster that is taking him away from his family. The irony is that the Sharmas were the ones that took him away from his father six years ago. It might not be writer's intention, but it looks like parents are keeping Abhir scared and afraid of the unknown on purpose to guarantee that he chooses them over Abhi.

Exactly. High chances are this has been done to just exaggerate the issue to fill episodes.

But here we talk and analyse every little thing it's surprising how this has been overlooked.

The parents here are being weak and instead of preparing their six year old child for a huge change are filling his mind with scary thoughts. He was told truth in a twisted way, the curiosity by which he was looking for his RWP has been lost and now he is worried that some guy he has no idea how he looks what is he like is going to take him away. Akshara telling him she have no idea where his father lives was plain stupid. Now kid doesn't even know where his father is going to take him. They didn't even mention that they will meet him every weekend. It's been present like a last good bye

I agree. First they lied, made Abhimanyu lie too even when he kept suggesting that they should tell Abhir the truth since he already knew half of it. And now they are the ones saying we should keep Abhir away from court or he will stop trusting us!! If Abhir’s trust is so important them then why lie to him in the first place? It was okay till Akshara said she will tell him later- Abhir accepted that. Now if Abhir feels betrayed - they are totally responsible for it.
