I don't want it to go in that direction either but the fact that they are still not breaking the Abhi-Arohi engagement even after Manjiri openly declared her preference for Abhira means they are keeping that as one of their backup option tracks and don't want to shut that down yet.

No matter how ridiculous it will look for Arohi to still continue with this rishta after both Abhi and Manjiri have shown they are not interested in it😆.....looks like makers will still try to keep it going by giving some bullshit reason when the time comes.

Would a girl pining over her toxic ex qualify as true love ? It would be termed as destroying own life by will , instead of creating good memories with better people. It's not that in order to move on one has to necessarily get a new partner , one can remain happy remaining single while not being affected by toxic past .

Pining over an ex like akshara who was toxic , inconsiderate towards feelings , treated other one like an object , insensitive , egoistic is extremely unhealthy and can never be praised as true love .

Firstly I would like to say that I'm speaking from the perspective of fiction....real life parameters can't be applied to this situation. No Abhimanyu would exist in real life cuz people are way more fickle in real life and hardly anyone looks at or experiences love the way Abhimanyu does. He has experienced this emotion on a deeply soulful level - it literally went from him just keeping to himself all his life to suddenly being overwhelmed with this emotion....so no, it would not be fair to say that this is not true love. It is absolutely true love for the universe of this story that he will only love Akshara and no one else. That is his fate - he will always pine only for Akshara.

@bold: I don't think its fair to compare Abhimanyu getting a chance as a father to Abhimanyu giving another relationship a chance. Abhimanyu as a father also happens to be an extension of his soulful connection to Akshara....he has that unique bond with Abhir because Abhir is a symbol of Abhira's love, a living personification of the love they shared, a piece of Akshara he can connect to.

He has been a father figure to Ruhi as well and spent 6 years pouring himself into that relationship....has that given him fulfillment? Not fully, right? His heart continued to pine for Akshara....so that connection will always remain different no matter what other relationships he gives a chance to or tries to pour himself into.

I'm not even talking from the point of reciprocation in Akshara's case....that is a different journey from her side. But purely from Abhimanyu's side, it will never work in this story to show him moving on to someone else because he is destined to always love Akshara. He has proven his love superior by being able to love her no matter how insensitive and heartless she has been to him, no matter what form she moves on to.

Akshara for her part has a tendency to run from the absolute truths of life while Abhimanyu always steps up to face his truths....maybe it his fate to hold on to these truths until Akshara is capable of facing them....we can call it his one-sided pining for her and it may seem hopeless and pointless if you look at it from a practical perspective....but this is his absolute truth and knows no other way to live.
