Yep! Abhira is also his creation and so is Abhinav.

Apparently, he had role to play even in Anupamaa only. I think he just creates and then hands it over to other experienced writers and moves to new show.

he is a senior consultant for any track i guess he decides the tracks on show and writers just writes it. 😆 sort of a boss

So, I think idea is that he is always consultant. In of these tweets he had said that he mostly creates the story base and initial character sketches... Plus, I think when show actually took leap, he was busy with his own show - ZMGA. So, he may have jumped deeper in this show post jan/Feb - 2022 after ZMGA abruptly ended. RS has majorly credited him for Abhinav ka creation in this show. But I am not sure how long was he involved even after Abhinav's entry.

But in general all his shows are purely family vibe and his FLs are quite balanced and progressive.

Well I guess only ZH himself can answer how involved or not he has been with any show. I agree about the family vibe in his stories but disagree that the FL are progressive or balanced! And he could have wanted to try something different too - we can only speculate.

I think it's more to do with base and not just track. He creates base and leaves it off😆 DKP needs to hire more writers like him that could think like him but oh well, I guess they won't.

FL being progressive could be different POV and we can disagree😊 but all his other FLs have been class apart... They were stubborn, mahaan in limit and quite sorted - Suhana was like spoilt brat but within the limits, and Amrita was widowed woman but was very strong... I have also seen clips of Nimki Mukhiya where she strongly stands against villain's (ML) mom's with her POV....

I Think Adhya can talk mord about her opinion on FLs of ZH too.

it's not about those characters but the era in which those show plays a key role here. Now a days no show has good characters all shows are trash that's why i stopped watching sas bahu drama and only watch supernatural series atleast i can laugh there . Everything is about money now. These writers can't do much as they are here to earn for the family. They can't go against channel and producer.

SP shows were good back then and more progressive than what currently we are seeing. But can't help sp hardly manages to get 3.0+ trp as regional shows are getting those trp. To stay in buisness they can go to any extent.

Agree. No matter which PH is making the show or on which channel. Most of the shows convey just one point- falling in love is a mistake and it ruins your life.

Here too in S3 - Abhimanyu-Akshara fell in love - both suffered. When Akshara-Abhinav started falling for each other- revelations, court cases, blames, insecurities, tragedy. In contrast most side characters lead a peaceful life and live through multiple seasons of the show. Being in love just opens a pandora’s box for all!

Talking about Zama Habib's female characters, one only has to watch a few episodes of Nimki Mukhiya to see the kind of female characters he writes about. If Nimki is not progressive then I don't know what is?

Nimki

Suhana

Amrita

Mansi

Jeevika

Toasty

Shailja

Radha

and the list goes on. All these women were empowered and progressive. They all had a spine. They were all practical, opinionated females.

I think he is one of those rare male writers or even rare itv writers who is good at portraying well-rounded female characters. To provide depth and nuances to them.

Something that even post-leap Akshara had - a spine. Otherwise, pre-leap she was just a nibbi

trp ppl want drama jaha drama mile waha aathe hai 😂 sp ka drama sare channel se worst hai. Kaha gaye woh din where we used to get shows like baa bahu baby, khichdi, fridays filled with fun shows aur kaha hum phas gaye aise nalayak show ke saath jiska na sar hai na pair 😂

Story kuch aur hothi hai drame ke naam pe faltu sa sequence daalthe hai.

I cannot comment on other shows as I haven’t watched them.

I was skeptical earlier but I agree Akshara is becoming progressive(though I still have issues with her for other reasons). It takes a lot of guts to show a widow (who loved her recently deceased husband) embracing life and even attempting to move on! Most probably the hug is not about moving on and they may brush it off as being friends to get rid of the awkwardness. But I like that they are not showing Akshara as someone who gives in to societal pressure and is able to fight for herself! (its a different thing that I feel its against her initial personality but ok). 💃👍
