I don't think HC and PR are spending on PR except for attending awards. As far as SBS is concerned, the MD knows HC since his KD times and her company has arranged day outs with HC earlier also.

I don’t think having numbers is helping RS here.. if he did burn money on writers the show wouldn’t be in such a sad state.. if he actually wanted a story he could have got amazing writers onboard… I don’t know the names much but money spent on writing would translate on screen.. simple enough!!!
I don’t get the compatibility point.. does he just want to show that destiny keeps getting these two incompatible people together and they keep ruining their chances??

I think they are.. and I don’t mean in the money sense because I don’t know.. but just a higher visibility can be noticed.. the awards and parties are easy visibility…
I didn’t say HC spent money on SBS.. the point is he felt it imp enough to give an all out interview with P.. I mean an interview with a journalist that you know is still an interview.. he knows how the fans would interpret such an interview.. it is smart theatrics but theatrics nonetheless.

Honestly, if he went with one ship and completely focused on them the TRPs would be higher. The show has been stagnant with 2.3 before the leap, which allegedly got him a notice from the channel, but now it's been stagnant with 2.1 for months.

I don't know him personally, but to me it's like Gen 2 had more effort and thought because he wanted to prove he could outdo Gen 1 because how it ended with the actors. He had a point to proof. That no one was above his show.

@bold this is highly debatable.. He did work with abhira for a year.. and there has to be a reason why he thought he needed to get Zama.. it could be trp, could be channel pressure.. but there was something that wasn’t working out with abhira.. the trp just before the leap wouldn't be that great, I mean it just makes sense in the way why leap was even needed..

just to be clear, I’m not going to go back and check, so don’t quote me on that..

I agree there was more effort with gen2 and what you stated could be a reason.. but the reason he went with HC and literally no logical story compared to gen 1 and 2 shows to me that he was banking too much on the stardom and the chemistry..
the last year of gen2 was also with no story but it still worked due to kaira stardom and their connect with the audience.. what’s different here is just that the aud cared about kaira much more than they did about abhira.. which makes sense in a way..

they had proper highs and lows and an amazing supporting cast.. all these things helped..
