How shrewdly amazing this guy is.. Rajan Shahi

Frankly I mostly watched this show religiously after akshnav story started, though I’ve followed the basic story right from Kaira’s time..

I loved akshnav right from the start.. the domesticity, the respect shared in the household, the love they had for abhir, and just the easy going effortless chemistry.. just struck a chord with me❤️❤️ And Abhir had amazing scenes.. I loved the cuty actors they got for the two kids.. they know how to act, have amazing chemistry with each one of the cast and just amazing overall..

So coming to akshnav, I never expected them to be anything substantial, I was happy with whatever initial scenes we had and I was okay with watching how the makers would move through the journey and justify akshu getting back to Abhimanyu.. But then I read the twitter thing with the actors and makers where some fans trolled Jay Soni and even went up to karni Sena or some news channels to complain about what “ghor paap” RS was doing getting two single people married (it didn’t matter to me that they were jeeja sali some 6 years back, right now they were just co-parents and “friends”)..
Around this time, I read a twitter post from one of the Kaira fans that they also complained too much about seerat and RS made it a point to show her as a soulmate to Kartik.. which made sense to me because RS is nothing if not egoistic.. but even then I didn’t think he could make something out of akshnav because I knew the actors equation with the PH would play in as well..

but watching today.. I can see that the Kaira fan was right.. he has literally shown everything like akshu singing for Abhinav, her very vocally rejecting Abhimanyu, her actually confessing to Abhimanyu that she loves Abhinav.. and depending on what RS wants we might have had the consummation as well.. all while giving the required lollipops needed for Abhira… today akshnav have more comfort, more love and akshu accepting that love as just normal like it’s not even a big deal.. much much more than I expected.. (For me Abhinav’s insecurity makes complete sense really.. he doesn’t know akshu loves him, he feels uncomfortable with Abhira’s closeness, the kismat thing. I would’ve loved if he would talk to akshu but I get it.. there’s conflict, there’s confusion.. for me that makes a show worth watching.. how would the characters react with the knowledge, the insecurities, the issues that they have)

The show is still getting the trp.. he’s done great cost cutting with removing the entire Birla fam.. removed the dependency from HC.. and still he has all the pathways open to him.. he can go for abhira or akshnav.. it’s all open.. it’s just genius..

I get people’s issue that sometimes the story is senseless.. I mean these people are working 7 days a week.. the mediocrity has a reason.. sometimes the writers falter, sometimes the actors falter.. it’s fine with me.. most people watch it for mindless fun.. and if the trp audience wants to watch ott drama then what can shahi do.. it’s basic demand and supply.. reminds me of the producer of Kahan hum kahan tum saying that the show got the best trp during the most mindless sequence when Sonakshi fought against her stalker leaving her wedding.. this ott drama is what people love in itv, then why shouldn’t they get that..

for the akshnav fans who’d like to caution me, that RS can ruin akshnav like he did with abhira (though I think the trajectory made sense with abhira and their behaviours).. I get it and I wouldn’t care seriously.. try watching the show with that mindset.. it feels amazing and so much fun😂

And frankly I get embarrassed when people say RS can’t do that with abhira.. I mean it’s his show and his money and his creation and he can do whatever the damn shit he wants to with it.. he doesn’t owe anything to me, the fans or even the actors.. I’m not saying don’t complain or don’t discuss, then what’s even the point of watching this shitshow 😂

Another thing I’d like to say.. I love that they are going with destiny to make a point for Abhira.. because their choices and compatibility doesn’t really make them come together..

The show is still getting the trp.. he’s done great cost cutting with removing the entire Birla fam.. removed the dependency from HC.. and still he has all the pathways open to him.. he can go for abhira or akshnav.. it’s all open.. it’s just genius..

He has built a 3rd set and employed additional artists along with Jai Soni. No cost cutting with the current trps. DKP's Anupama has picked up steam so it is just the balancing act.

Yeah he is no longer dependant on Abhira probably the makers never wanted to make them permanent in the long run.

Anyways cannot compare Abira with Naksh or Kaira, they were hardly together..Thanks to the subpar screenplay, dialogues their romance never had any depth, in fact looked cheesy.

Apart from separations both did not have any major track together. If his real motive was to highlight that love at first sight always does not work then yes DKP is successful.

I’m not sure if you’re kidding or not.. but the notion of my opinion being “paid” is insulting.. I really don’t appreciate it, please check what you’re trying to say..

I get it when you’re invested and all.. but when you are a producer on itv your job is to tell the story the way you want to and most importantly make money.. for himself, the channel and the team.. not to care about some “viewers or fans”..

And frankly this argument makes no sense, because the trps show the “viewers” are okayishly invested in this show.. what a specific group of fans feel is not his responsibility. No fan group is going to come pay his bills 🙄🙄🙄

Specially when the fan opinions are like wind.. last year Garima and utkarsh were shit, now suddenly they’re respected and adored..

Also, the best of the shows have gone to the dogs when they started caring about viewers or fans opinion.. take TVD and GOT for example.. specially GOT 😭😭

I didn’t appreciate him as a person.. because I don’t know him or care about.. I just appreciated how he’s making money while doing whatever the f he wants.. that takes guts..

I don’t think he’s ever put really any money in writing or story building of the 3rd gen, which was the case with kaira.. it’s like he just spent all the money on the stars and expected too much out of Harshad’s stardom and his and P’s chemistry.. that’s why the story was more focused on twists and turns rather than having a heart..

DKP has burnt money on the writers. I guess he never wanted to follow IN, his actual theme for the current generation is compatibility.

I don't think HC and PR are spending on PR except for attending awards. As far as SBS is concerned, the MD knows HC since his KD times and her company has arranged day outs with HC earlier also.

He is straddling two ship because it's getting engagement. I highly doubt the team would show this if they weren't getting a benefit. It may not be high TRPs, but it's something. One episode it's family scene with one pair then next episode it's a family scene with another pair. You just have to wait to get your pair lol.

Honestly, if he went with one ship and completely focused on them the TRPs would be higher. The show has been stagnant with 2.3 before the leap, which allegedly got him a notice from the channel, but now it's been stagnant with 2.1 for months.

I don't know him personally, but to me it's like Gen 2 had more effort and thought because he wanted to prove he could outdo Gen 1 because how it ended with the actors. He had a point to proof. That no one was above his show.
