Your post is basically my point lol. She affirmed with words and actions so why isn't it enough for him? I thought it was build-up for something, but it looks like it wasn't.

Also, I completely disagree with the emotional manipulation because:

Yelling at him for talking about Abhimanyu is manipulation.

Telling him to lie about his age is manipulation.

Convincing him to give up new comfortable shoes Abhimanyu brought for him by making comparisons to their old house to spare Abhinav's feelings is manipulation. His old shoes wore torn and uncomfortable, but she didn't care because Abhinav felt bad.

Telling him if he lies about Arohi's manipulating him to stay away from Abhimanyu she will let him buy whatever toy he wants is manipulation.

Of course, Abhir will choose Akshara and Abhinav that's the only people he has ever known lol. That still doesn't make what they did to him right.

You made some valid points.

Even if she wanted to she couldn't give to him because he isn't Abhimanyu. He can't get that reaction from her, but he has everything else. His "insecurity" is ridiculous because he has everything. Because the writers handed everything to him on a silver platter there is no conflict. Because there is no conflict his insecurities are pointless.

Just going to copy paste what I already said in the discussion thread about this:

The main issue between Akshnav is that Nav will never be able to get over his feeling of inadequacy whenever he sees Abhira together.

Akshara has already told Nav a 100 times that she doesn't want what she had with Abhi and she prefers what she has with him.....she has glorified Nav in every way to the extent that the only thing remaining is officially building a temple for him.....and still, all it takes to debilitate Nav is seeing Abhira being FRIENDLY with each other

And you know why that is? Because for all his claims of achhai, it isn't the glorification and worshipping he really wants from Akshara....he wants the REAL deal that he can see exists naturally between Abhira without them even trying.....he wants what they have and that is where the problem lies.....Akshara doesn't want that anymore....lol she shut that down along with shutting all doors to Abhi himself.

So what will Akshara do when Nav expects to have with her what she had with Abhi in order to feel that sense of security in their relationship? lol

Cuz what else is this man wanting for otherwise? He literally has EVERYTHING....he's played house with Akshara for 6 years, raised someone else's child as his own and still it is HIM feeling insecure? lol probably cuz he knows somewhere that it is Abhira who feel real and natural together and not his own Sharma family that he keeps claiming is ideal.

This is why I don't like him. The way flips back and forth from "mera beta mera beta" to "Abhir mera khoon nahi" depending on who he is talking to and what he is trying to get from them.

Had Akshara done even 1% of these things being married to Abhimanyu, I think we all know what would have that resulted in... Classic Divorce... And so far that's what the show has proved... The amount of biasness this show has... I know Hotstar wale are writing insecurity for Abhinav, but more than insecurity, he seems to be facing facing INFERIORITY complex. In my honest opinion, he isn't seeming to doubt Akshara's loyalty or anything but he thinks he is misfit for her as compared to Abhimanyu and that he should move out. He may love Akshara but he isn't the one to give her Umar Kaid ki sazaa of being with him, if he thinks Akshara and Abhir can be happier with someone else. Choice is clearly Akshara's.

On a serious note, It's evident that Akshara Sharma has sacrificed so much for Abhinav, including her ambitions and moral standards, all to create a "family". Her constant prioritizing of Abhinav's feelings, even over her child Abhir, really is concerning. Yet, it seems like no matter what she does, it's never enough for him.

I'm genuinely curious about the writers' intentions here.

It's puzzling to think about whether this storyline is setting her up for something, or if it's meant to depict her as caught in a hopeless situation. Its my personal opinion jee.
