Mummy & bachu , both havr answered it , albeit indirectly. They said na khoon khoon hota hai, importance of khoon , Chirag and all that..so yeah only khoon matters khooni akshara they didn't want ...

If akshu died bec of Neil, they will give pref to their khoon Neil coz akshu isn't their khoon .

In a scenario where bachu had known abt abhir , he wud first want abhir then emo blackmail his mummy to come bk to him bec he can't move on and abhir needs both parents...this is the reason akshu didnt go bk n she didn't tell .
