Recently there was a show called kasam where fl died while saving ml. The story was about fl taking rebirth for ml.

Their nobody accepted the shivani tomar and trp started dropping and they had to brought back kratika by making wierd theory of plastic surgey 😆. So as i said it's situational. It depends on ppl who watches it.

In kasam's case ppl were majorly watching for krasha(kratika and sharad).

In imlies case it might be because ppl who were watching it may do not care about ships or they are watching it sumbul.

The first hero is story. If story is present in better way with good starcast then definitely it would be like by everyone. Shivangi, Hina, Karan, Mohsin was not that popular but this show made them popular. Ab agar hum ye kahenge ki show unki wajah se hit hua to this is only half truth.

Agar log Harshad ki wajah se show dekhte to bepanah aur humsafar bhi hit hota. To majority of TRP audience do not care about actors. Specially if story based on family drama. Ha agar love story hai to affect hota hai but saas Bahu drama nahi. Agar hota to ye serial Hina k baad hi end ho jaata. Aur logon ko affect hota ye leap k baad bhi TRP girti but it is stable.

Harshad's Kis desh lost trps after his death track. Ekta wanted Preet aka Sushant Singh Rajput to be the ML. It is did not work so he was brought back.

Trps viewers need to connect with the leads to an extent that they shld miss their presence. Kasam was more or less copied from Kis desh. By coincidence both the leading pairs were accepted by one and all.

Bepannaah and Humsafars were duds.

It is a myth that Harshad fans are watching 3rd generation on TV. Yeah online ones maybe.

What’s the criteria for paying him ? I don’t think he’s paid per episode

Ekta , of all people, never cared for an actors popularity and replaced them in a jiffy , no matter how high the show was on trp charts..its history how she replaced mihir in ksbkbt and sujal in kth and many more..Anurag also I guess , in kzk1. Recently she replaced dhiraj dhoopar in Kundali.

Audience will.keep watching the show if it's interesting enuf for them..the actor who will replace will also have some standing. Fans must come out of delusion that their fav actors and chemistry runs the show. It's not them alone , it's how they are presented , how well the tracks r written for them...kyy1 was cult but kyy2 was a disaster with the same actors. Ipk 1 started To go off track , it was the same actors as before so what changed ? Glad they ended it soon at least we had a show to cherish for like 90% duration.

In 2008 when Ekta produced Kis desh, it wasn't iconic like the others, neither she wanted the show to hit bullseye. Ek signed HC only for 100 episodes, the moment he left as per contract trps went haywire. Maybe the story along with leads hit a chord with the audiences.

After KZK, Balaji faced a cash crunch, KDMHMD was doing good, the production house did not want to let go a show which was running on a low budget with high returns.

She brought HC back, signed SSR for PV.

I am just citing one example. It does happen in rare cases.

Actors ka affect sirf romantic show main hi padta hai aur aaj kal wo bhi nahi padta. Sas bahu show main actors se koi lena dena nahi hai. Nahi to sath nibhana sathiya bhi nahi chalta. The first hero is narration only.

Aur pata nahi TRP aati kaise hai. Kon dekhta hai tv pahle ki tarah. Ghum, imlie is such a bakwas fir inki trp achi khasi hai.

Naagin 6 is worst season compared to other seasons. All og fans already left watching. I know it personally as i was one of them. Its most illogical season. But auidence majorly teju fans have kept it alive they changed mls but fl they did not dared to change. Even forums are dead. Nobody has any interest to watch as i have been interacting with them since i know them from n1 to n5.

One more example is n5. In n5 they killed vani and made their son as vampire to get a new show called kuch toh hai. N5 had many fans who were watching it for sharbhi and they were very popular as a onscreen couple. Just because they gave illogical ending to n5 and killed vani for their new show the spinnoff of n5 was rejected by audience. It was unable to fetch any trp all the way from its first episode and it got shut within 10 episodes even though i liked initial epis.

People do watch for leads and have the power to make and break the show. But as i said its situational. It depends on type of show and who is currently watching it on tv.

That's ekta for you..she makes sure aur kuch ho ya nai, she gets the best actors..bas that's her only selling point now ..she doesn't focus on TV show anymore otherwise kuch acha kar hi deti

Story is illogical n there r no fans toh trp bhi kahan hai? Nagin series which rules the charts once upon a time r lurking between 11-20th spot..

But shows like anupama ghum and yrkkh r not solely dependent on their leads . It's the drama which keeps the show going
