There was no emotional connection, just facts, because their respective partners deserved to know the truth. If they do go the Navshu route, I want a lot more than this. I mean, Ak hasn't even shared that Arohi used to bully her or what her position in Goenka's house was before she got married to Abhi. Maybe you don't share your relationship with your ex, but you can at least share your childhood and upbringing. What about the simple fact that she used to enjoy singing, that was her whole identity. Maybe she wants to forget about everything related to Abhi, but if that is everything in her past, then how can she really show her true self to Abhinav?

We are not just our past, obviously, but it is a part of us. Marriage is real, but there is no love. What will she do when Abhinav confesses his feelings for her? Maybe she will fall in love with him, but that simply hasn't happened yet in the past six years.

As to being intimate and stuff, I really don't care what they show. Physical intimacy is not the same as emotional intimacy. And there is no rule that you can only be intimate with someone you love. Lots of marriages run without love, and they work.

I won't make a list of what she shared with abhimanyu and not with abhinav and base my judgement on whether or not she has whole heartedly accepted abhinav. Abhinav was exposed to goenkas and birlas , he figured out everything himself. He was silently supporting akshu and also , know her mental state.... Akshu never opened up abt arohi to abhimanyu also. He figured it out when akshu took the blame for manjaris accident .

Now physical intimacy is also not imp. Previously this was the bone of Contention when everyone deluded into thinking that marriage is fake.... in that case abhimanyu and arohi will also work out , what's the issue ? Let them show the marriage .

If abhimanyu is a real man , he must keep his promises to arohi . Akshu is perfectly happy in her world , we all know abhir will be used as a plot point to bring her bk to the hell hole again , it really doesn't matter now. 😀

Bold 1 and 2. Aren't these 2 statements contradictory? 🤔

Don’t think so - you can have all sorts of combinations here - ideal scenario physical intimacy with emotional connect OR physical without emotional OR emotional intimacy without being physical OR worse live in a relationship without real physical and emotional intimacy.

To add to the mess, it could be different feel for both partners.

Real world and real relationships are hard, complicated and messy - that is why genre of fantasy, passionate love stories is so popular.

What I expect from my fantasy story is a good narrative (watching a daily soap, don’t know why I am expecting that - my bad to start with) I don’t mind the story going in any direction but give me a convincing good narrative.

I know the narrative on this forum has been about physical intimacy; it just doesn't matter to me personally. And the bold statements are not contradictory. Marriages can have physical intimacy and not much emotional intimacy and still be good marriages. I think there are a few different concepts I should define.

Romantic love refers to being in love with someone, and a part of that is both emotional and physical intimacy. I think Ak can develop feelings for abhinav and slowly, it can turn to love. I am not against that; it just hasn't happened yet. Physical intimacy is not just about sex, it's also about being comfortable with each other. Navshu are getting to that with Abhinav tying Ak's hair back and stuff. Emotional intimacy is feeling comfortable enough to share your thoughts and feelings with someone. Abhira had that so effortlessly, they discussed their hopes and dreams, supported each other's careers, etc. Navshu are not there yet, Ak did share her past but nothing about how she feels about it. She herself doesn't know her feelings or hasn't processed them yet, so that makes sense. In general, I would refer to the drunk conversation Abhira had pre-confession.

I think both Navshu and Abrogi can get to some form of love and have a happy married life. But at the end of the day, everyone will be settling. It's different when two people choose each other and when they are just pushed together by circumstances.

As I said, I don't understand the point of it all anymore. They could have shown them moved on and done the Abhir issue immediately after the leap. Why spend two months developing a relationship that has remained stagnant for the past six years ?
