I actually do believe it was her choice. She wouldn't have asked just anyone to father her son even if only for survival. She always had the option of returning to her mayka or at least accepting financial aid from them in the sense that she could have asked her BP or Kairav to help her hide her pregnancy, and ultimately kid, from the Birlas and arrange for her to live in some other city or even country. They would have gladly done that, especially Kairav. She made a conscious decision of not involving either of them but rather trusting Abhinav. He may have somehow inspired her in the short time between their first meeting and her delivery.

This is my opinion, of course. Yours can definitely differ.

Ak was never shown as a strong person who could take a stand for herself; could put a stop to her family's ill treatment/ exploitation of her; or could prioritize her career. So are we expecting her to change her intrinsic nature overnight especially when she's in such a state of unsaid trauma. Some ppl need encouragement n support of someone to find their footing n hold their stance. As much as I would've loved to see her stand alone against d world, Ik it would've looked like too much transformation for a char like hers. Ppl change in face of adversity but they don't become new ppl altogether. Sai in Ghum was shown as single mother cos she has that fire in her. Ak is nothing like that. Not that it makes her wrong in anyway she's just a different person. Also just a quick add on from my experience. This world is full of perverts irl. The show isn't wrong in depicting that. D way men eye women when they're alone is way different when they're with a guy. Women need men to get shielded from men! What SHEER IRONY it is but also sadly true. Women who live protected, luxurious lives; have a strong career; family backing (like Ar is shown) can and do v.well opt for being single mothers. But d shoes Ak were shown to be in after the leap, I personally feel it would be too I don't know incorrect/unrealistic to depict her as a single mother.

Absolutely. I too am one such, not so independent, person. Though I did take a stand when I was oppressed, I could have never really lived all alone in Pakistan like my sister is doing in the US. Also, it may have been different if I had any kids, but I don't, so we would never know. I opted to get married again, but cousin and sister who were divorced and had kids haven't yet. My sister, although independent, is open to the idea of marriage if she finds the right guy for herself and her children. My cousin is not because she fears the next guy may never accept her children the same. She is kinda old-school that way, but that's due to the lack of exposure. She got married pretty young and was not really allowed to go out much for all those years (probably 11 or more) she stayed married.

Regardless, every girl is different and is entitled to her own decisions.

Pata nehi ye new wale writers capable hai ya nehi...but before they unite Abhira...he needs to realise his mistakes, her point of view, and beg and grovel and regret and believe he has lost her to abhinav and be ok with it if thats her choice...Only after that if something happens and she comes back it will be justified...Wish the redeem Abhi and Akshu properly the way they ruined them properly...but dont know if yrkkh writers are capable anymore...

I had said pretty much the same thing in my comment below yours before reading yours. You have won my heart with the response. Thank you for voicing your opinions.

faur enough…for me the screenplay showed she couldn’t handle it alone given the scene with pervs n society questioning her motherhood etc n that’s why she chose to get married to Abhinav…that’s not a choice imo …it is a had to do situation …n I have issues with that too …as that just tells so many single moms out there are not existing …

I overall don’t disagree with you that this is not the first time…but I do feel everything good he did …as thinking about her when she herself never thought of herself…he thought about her …he always put her before himself…living with that partner is not Umar qaid…but I get it everyone views it differently

Bravo Priyanka. Thank you for detailing the confrontation but mainly the Abhira part. I actually didnt watch the episode based on twitter feedback, where they said there was an overdose of Nav glorification.

After reading your post I am so glad I didnt. I was actually looking forward to this confrontation because I had hoped she would talk about everything he said and did in anger that day, but looks like it was about their entire journey being a mistake.

I blame the dialogue writers here not the character. They seem to have clearly forgotten what they have shown

- A life with a man who freed her from years of abuse was Umar qaid🤬. And she is happy having given up her identity which was her singing. Have the makers forgotten what they have previously shown

- Akshara claiming she doesnt love him in front of Mahadev, what can I say. Mockery of bhagawan again.

- 100% agree with you. She appears to have wiped away everything about his love and the extreme lengths he went to protect and fight for. I am not too annoyed with this because sometimes bad memories take away all good memories

- I get that she is married or considers herself married, then why did she run to his rescue, why didnt she think about her husband when she was cradling and crying for him.

- Her asking Abhimanyu to move on with Arohi and Ruhi but stay away from saying anything to her, that is hypocrisy.

Where to from here for Abhira?

I knew you would get me 😊❤️🫶🤝

abhira was killed yesterday for me…I’ll see how they take it forward but yeah…💔

No ..I think you misunderstood what I wrote…akshu has actually been shown to be that independent woman…she was living by herself before her character gets introduced and she comes to Udaipur…she was managing not just herself but her mentally disturbed brother in leap 1 …in fact it u it s aarohi who I can’t see as an independent woman…she has been surrounded by luxuries throughout…akshu always got the short end of the stick …akshu’s character did not need Abhinav to survive with her son…that was just flipped to introduce him …

Why do we demand or in clear words "dare" akshu to love abhinav ? Is it bec we r so concerned for abhinav or is it bec we're so sure akshu won't love anyone except abhimanyu? What If akshu proves everybody wrong and she whole heartedly accepts abhinav as her husband ? These 6 yrs she was abs fine till abhimanyu came and stirred up the past...I think now akshu has the closure that she wanted and she is ready to move on with abhinav.

@bold imo she actually was not …the sweet character has lost her joie de vivre …she let go of her music …she is actually a skeleton of her true persona…in no way was she fine …now we can discuss how fine she was before that as well n that’s fair but she wasn’t fine in the 6 years …the moment she realizes that or someone helps her realize that it will be the turning point

At this point, I would say both the characters (Akshara & Abhimanyu) are ruined. They both have done mistakes in their relationship. I am personally angry with both. One thing that I strongly dislike is the way Abhi talks to Aarohi post leap. Abhi's love for Ruhi is understandable but his friendly avatar with Aarohi is something I can't stand. I am perfectly fine Akshu & Abhi moving on without each other but Abhi moving with Aarohi is still not digestible to me. Bechara Abhinav...my heart goes out for him. I just hope he gets all the love in life that he truly deserves through Akshara or some other girl. It's high time he gets out of this so-called fake marriage. In the episode yesterday, I could feel the pain he was going through. Very nice acting & he makes it look so real. I had tears in my eyes. Hope his character doesn't get ruined.
