The disservice done to this season and wasted potential

RS and the writers really did not go into this season with a clear thinking of the main plot. They just thought of a doctor male lead, his snobby doctor family and female lead who would be opposite to that, but they never committed to that plot and actually completely detracted from it by creating a forced love angle and then jumping unnaturally between overdramatic and negative tracks without concluding them properly.

What they should have done is kept the female lead and her passion and ambitions for a singing career being a bone of contention in her well-educated, career-oriented in-laws full of doctors as the main plot and actually properly focused on that. They could have properly developed akshara's aims to create a singing career for herself after marriage with the support of her doctor husband, the opposition and mockery of her in-laws towards her musical ambitions.

They could have shown her facing the rude and disrespectful attitudes of people judging her for being the least educated/ least accomplished in the family and maybe showing akshara becoming famous and how that creates complications and/or conflicts between her, abhi and birla's.

There was so much they could have done with the idea of akshara's career ambitions vs her in-laws's career ambitions and how she has to constantly prove that being part of the creative/ entertainment industry is a respectful career too, because it is a fact many young people who chose this path for their career face resistance from family in favour of wanting their children to go for a more secure and/or traditional high-skilled job.

Well written miss behave. Dont know if I have said this earlier. I love your username, very cheeky.

Can I ask what is your name. I am Nisha. Happy for you refer to me by name.

Ah the wasted opportunity. You are spot on with makers not really thinking about the plot. They just had a vague idea and looked to show a different version of the original bengali series. What they did do right was the casting. Every character suited the role perfectly(bar one).

Story was run of the mill however it was presented well early on. There was a mystery about the birla family and their dynamics. Here was a show I thought that was showing contrast between professional family vs a family that thrives from being together.

Love at first as cliche it was, the way it was shown made me believe in it. Where they failed miserably was in showing the journey from lovers to partners. As you have rightfully pointed out, they could have shown birlas family dynamics changing and Abhira and Manjari standing together to fight against them. Abhi and Manjari supporting Akshu to make a name for herself. They did start this but left it half way as with every track since. Profession went for a toss, we still dont know what Akshu wants in her life, singer, therapist, lawyer, jam maker.

Too much focus on the leads and Ar's jealously was shown without any other side plots. Kairav plot they tried back fired because back story was not convincing and the actress didnt quite fit the role. When they didnt know where to take the story, bang lets go with the audience favourite separation. How do you connect with the story when so in love couple who made a lot promises couldnt even stay together for a month.

In their attempt to gain TRP, they started the kichidi and here we are. 2 leaps in the span of 15 months. Even then they dont seem to know where to take this. I have said this many times, only reason this show is on air is because it is on a prime channel on prime time with legacy viewers and a few die hard Abhira silly fans like us.

Hi Nisha. My name is Sammy. ❤️ My biggest gripe with this show has been the pace with which they have jumped quickly from 1 track to another without properly wrapping up any track and how they have been far too quick to separate the couple compared to previous seasons.

Hi Nisha and Sammy ❤️ nicely written and spot on. What a wasted opportunity!! Except for V1, none of the tracks make sense. So much could have been done after their marriage but nothing was explored properly, everything was left half baked.

Actually, when I started watching a few months back, that's what I thought the plot is around. As Ar also a doc, he fell for a singer so thought they will elevate her Char by showing a career-oriented way and show to the youth that always education and being No1 is not only success.

when they show Parth and Nista interested in music. Thought they may elevate that more as they were inspired by her and show her as an example to MB, HB, and all who think only doc is a good profession. - they deviated from that also.

On the first separation, when they made her sacrifice her voice for him, they should elevate her sacrifice and show that he will help her to fight back to get her identity. - they made it a mess and he totally make her like she is a villain to hide from him.

once she started her career, one or two episodes, again they dump that totally deviated and brought Ar and Neil made it nonsense.

After 2nd separation, they even muted her not singing anymore. That was the main essence of the female lead right from starting.

I don't understand coming weeks what will make her? patient or bechara beg for her son's custody or future.

14 yrs is a long time ..when yrkkh started , family, love , arranged marriage everything was good enuf..

At least now thy can show something progressive such as

Akshu and abhi deciding not to have kids so early n focus on their careers along with taking out quality time for each other

Abhimanyu trying to balance between his ma and akshu

abhira moving out or at least have an independent set up in the same house

Two people can live together as friends/neighbours also, be there for each other, no need for them to have feelings for each other..I'm not against abhinav akshu at all , they're married , thats also completely fine by me ..but akshus attitude isn't.

Moving on in life is so imp ..people can love again or settle with a peaceful life ..going through through same cycles or pain and separation isn't worth

For God sake stop The batshit crazy talk about some kid not having a father..stop this insensitivity , nobody talks like that and if the kids do, they need counselling.

Hi Sammy, so nice to interact with you. Agree, there is absolutely no consistency be it the story or the pace of the show. Ones they should have taken time were rushed, the ones that should have been rushed have been dragged.

I did not watch previous seasons. But going by what legacy viewers have said it was executed much better.

I feel makers wanted to end the show for ever but it was the channel who asked them to continue with a new season. Season 3 started during covid when SP couldnt risk starting a new show, they wanted to retain legacy viewers. Probably explains why there was no big launch, no press conference etc. Celebrations have been few and far in between.

It just feels like the effort has been half hearted. DKP are still basking on the success of Anupama and even R.S is more attached to that show. Every award show he is always with Anupama team. When reporters ask him about yrkkh or HC, he somehow brings Anupama in those conversations. You get the feeling that yrkkh to him is just to get that legacy status. Longest running, most episodes etc.

They have succumbed to the TRP pressure and have taken the path of destruction. Long standing reputation of the show being a feel good family show has also been compromised. Sad state of itv.😭😭

agreed…but my point is even if they started with a flimsy plot or zero plot …after seeing Abhira craze any one will cash in on their popularity…instead they r busy showing astohi eho most don’t want to see…not just that but the treatment is regressive thought process is regressive…nothing truly rishta-Esque if I may say so…as I was mentioning elsewhere I wish there was no strike n trp had come this week…they need to see it stop by massive points before they will realize their writers are shit n so are the makers
