Also - Mahima - yes agreed she deserves to be treated equally as a doctor and not inferior just because she’s a woman and surely she has given her sweat to Birla hospital. But she didn’t flinch for a second when her drunkard husband was about to do surgery. No remorse for still blatantly supporting him. Someone could have been killed if he had done surgery that day. All efforts of so many years gone down the drain. Plus - Kairav issue - she didn’t even act as a human forget a doctor when she knowingly hid proof and let an innocent rot in jail. Who does that? Can she be called human at all? Because of these reasons I feel Mahima Arohi don’t really respect the noble profession they are in. So in a way I’m not sure they deserve success in something that they don’t respect.

i dont know how people still sympathized with arohi or mahima or even call them career oriented or practical…. When they clearly are nt worthy. They are utter disgust

Arohi, I feel the same things you feel. She's a pointless boring character with vile human qualities.

Mahima is not that boring. She's shallow in the way she always treated her sister. She's shallow in the way she manipulates her own family members and watches them suffer. She has love but that love is conditional. As for the 2 recent incidents one where she defended her drunk husband and was hypocritical in her stand and the other with hiding the evidence her motives are very personal. Her husband's image is tied with her and the hospital's image, morality fails her here. That is the basic difference between someone like an Abhi with clear moral understandings and her, even he faltered and spoke about getting the license back watching his family suffer. And in the case of Kairav, she still has no acceptance...acceptance to his innocence is a finger towards acceptance of her failures as a mother because it could lead to questions of why and how did Anisha get in that situation in the first place. Other than that, she has a long standing reputation of her work all these years. She's not stupid, always selfish but not stupid in the ideas she gives to the hospital.

She always has hidden agendas for her decisions but what makes her insecure? The fact that she probably did her best always for a very long time and yet was not much adored personally or acknowledged professionally. We have had countless incidents of Harsh and Anand gift wrapping her ideas as theirs and constantly ignoring her.

I'm not justifying her actions, trust me I FF her scenes many times....I have found her screeching quite annoying the past few months. Abhira, are better off living alone for a few years than such horrible family members.

But unlike Arohi, Mahima and her motives have some depth. With Abhimanyu, her biggest grudge always would have been that her sister, a home maker got the son of Mahima's dreams. It's stupid to hold such grudges but not improbable.

People like her definitely exist. Thinking that the top of the ladder is the only place to exist, meanwhile ignoring every small milestone that comes along the way and never finding happiness.

So. I won't mind her finding some professional glory and recognition, she might then have better realization of her real insecurities or maybe not. But atleast she won't have anything to complain about, except her own nature of being a perennial opportunity seeker.

I think you hit the nail on the head as to why I find Mahima so much better than Arohi. Like Mahima has done some bad stuff she is not innocent but I at the very least I understand where it is coming from.

Arohi is delusional. Goenkas have in all seriousness treated both girls (Akshu and Arohi) badly at times. And Arohi’s insecurities are never ending. She cannot focus on her "career" chooses the easy way to achieve things but passes it off as her hard work. Even when people show care to her she won't get it in her brain that they really care about her.

And maybe I can understand Mahima more because the actress has the ability show those signs of remorse or genuine concern. Unfortunately for Arohi the actress still lacks the ability to properly emote emotions other than anger.

I agree with u to some extent. Mahima has been wronged professionally when she wasn’t given credit for her ideas and not given due recognition and position for her hard work just because she’s a woman. But this is absolutely no excuse for behaving the way she did. First - she’s a doctor. Then comes position, power, etc. And as u said is she’s linking her own reputation with Birla hospital- that’s fine. But again - she did wrong by hiding truth about her drunkard husband. In this situation she should have thought like a doctor first because a patients life could have been on the line. Is that in any way more important than reputation, and being a good wife? What about her oath as a doctor? I’m sorry but absolutely nothing is more important than human life and she being a doctor should know that. So though I understand the base of her insecurities- they are in no way excuses for her behaviour. If she wanted power, position and prestige - she could have practised in another hospital and made her own career a success. She could have joined another hospital. Who stopped her?

Agreed, her actions are not justified...but just saying that her motives have some depth unlike Arohi who's just point blank stupid and annoying in the way she thinks and does things. Mahima uses her family's love to her advantage and Arohi ignores the same and keeps cribbing.

Forget the hospital, any person who could be so mean to their own sister (Manjiri is basically a nice person) and nephew to begin with is not a great human. Mahima begins to falter there only as a human along with all her double standards post Anisha's death she's just becoming as annoying as Arohi. But still, her wanting glory is still understandable as compared to Arohi who's primary skill is cribbing.
