Chapter 2

The new person standing at the door caught their attention.

Harsh was angered seeing her after so many years so he stepped forward and said in an annoyed tone "Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?"

He tried sounding normal so people around don't get doubtful about it.

They both recalled their first meeting

6 yrs back

In Mumbai

Abhimanyu met Akshara on a college trip. They were sitting around the bonfire and Akshara started singing a song with her guitar and her melodious voice made Abhimanyu fall for her.

The trip ended but Abhimanyu couldn’t keep his mind distracted from Akshara.

They met again at college fest and then he got to know more about her.

He was studying MBBS and Akshara was pursuing a Diploma in Music therapy. It was a collaborative course so she attended 6 months in Abhimanyu’s college and there were only a few colleges that offered this degree.

Abhimanyu knew his feeling well but he didn’t want to rush things with her.

Within a few weeks, they became good friends and they both had an unknown attachment to each other.

In cafe

Abhi entered the cafe and saw Akshara "Hey Koyaliyaaa, Sup?"

Akshu saw him and greeted him back" Hi, I’m tuning my guitar… Tum Batao?"

Abhi replied "I'm going to the library but before that let's have a cold coffee"

Harsh came inside the cafe and called Abhimanyu

Abhimanyu turned and saw Harsh and he was confused about his sudden arrival without informing "Sir... Aap yaha?"

Harsh informed him " Manjiri ka accident ho gaya hai woh milna chahti hai tumse"

Abhimanyu panicked "Accident??? Kaise Kab Parso raat ko hi toh baat hui thi meri Maa se"

Akshara silently saw the exchange between the father-son duo. She knew how much Abhimanyu loved his mother and he missed her the most.

Abhimanyu said "I will ask for leave from college"

He looked at Akshara and hurriedly left to take permission

Harsh gave a side look to Akshara and she looked worried

Harsh took a few steps and stood in front of Akshara and questioned her "Who are you? "

She didn't expect him to come forward to talk to her but she replied quickly "Sir I’m Akshara and I’m pursuing a diploma in music therapy here"

Just then a little boy came running toward Akshara and said “ Akshu Didi Aai intezar kar rahi hai lunch ke liye Jaldi chalo “

Akshu smiled at him and replied “ Aai ko bolna thodi der main didi Ajayegi”

Abhimanyu came back with permission and gave it to Harsh and informed him that the principal wants to meet him

Harsh went to the office to talk to the principal and enquired about Akshara and got to know she was a scholarship student.

He assumed that she belonged to a middle-class family trying to impress his son Abhimanyu for their money.

He went back to the cafe and told "Abhimanyu you have permission for 10 days"

Abhimanyu nodded and turned to Akshara

"Akshara…. I will be back in 10 min. I need to pack a few things... Tum yahi wait Karo" said Abhimanyu before leaving for the hostel to get his backpack

Akshara turned her face and passed a soft smile but she received a disgusting look in return

"I know girls like you try to woo boys from rich families to fulfill your needs. Aas pass bhi mat dikhna mere bete ke" warned Harsh in a harsh tone

"Sorry sir aap galat samaj rahe hain main bas "Akshu tried to defend herself

"Hnnn tum bas Abhimanyu ko tuntune se gaane suna ke phasa rahi ho yahi na" replied Harsh before Akshara could complete

"Apko jawab dene ka man toh nahi phir bhi de deti hun...Singing mera passion hai main kisi ko impress nahi karti gaa kar" replied Akshara feeling humiliated and disgusted at the man standing in front of her

It fumed Harsh more and he snatched Akshara’s guitar and broke it into two pieces and said "Naya lene ke paise aa jaye toh naya tuntuna khareed lena"

Akshara was shocked to react to what had just happened it was her first guitar that her parents gifted her and the last one because they left her when she was 12.

She tried to control her anger and not blast him because she didn’t want to disrespect Abhimanyu's father

She collected the broken pieces of her guitar. She said, “ Mr. Harshvardan Birla not everyone is behind your money and the hospital you’re running was also established with donations you received years back.”

The pain of the broken guitar overshadowed her anger. It was the last bday gift from her parents and meant everything to her. She was sent to a hostel after high school because her stepsister didn’t like her and blamed her for their mother's death. She lives a simple life like normal college girls not like the granddaughter of Goenkas and tried being less dependent on her family for finance.

This incident affected her a lot so she decided to keep her distance from Abhimanyu. Hopefully, her course was ending in 2 weeks so she could do that easily.

Present

In Goenka House

Except for Harsh, there was one more person who was shocked to see Akshara...his love after 6 years. He had many questions, and complaints from her but now he was simply staring at her as if he blinks and she will go.

Mimi enquired " Kya tum jaante ho ek dusre ko?"

Harsh gave a fake smile and said "Haan Ek baar mile the kahin par music concert main"

Mimi happily replied "Chalo aacha hai pehle bhi mil liye beta ...Yeh Akshara hai humari Badi poti ".
