Dr. Saheb Shaadi Pe Bhi Day Off Nahi Lete

I didn't think I would write much about today's episode, considering it's a wedding, so it's bound to be beautiful, gorgeous, and symbolic. In that regard, nothing would be too surprising (everything would fit with what a wedding should look like and add to it's value).

But I'm pleasantly surprised.

1. Karishma is new to acting, and in some scenes, her inexperience is obvious, but today, when she asked for her apology in nekh, it seemed genuine and soft delivery, which is a novelty for her so kudos to the effort. Likewise, the Aaru-Akshu scene was beautiful in my opinion. They felt like real sisters in that scene and that's amazing to see considering where they were at the beginning of the season. Aarohi was soothing her in a way that's typical of Akshara, albeit milder, and in her eyes we could see adoration for Akshu the bride. This situation isn't ideal for Aarohi but she's doing alright, by her standards. Then, there was this reassuring hand hold when Akshu was looking at Kaira and tearing up. There was room for improvement on Karishma's side but I'm definitely seeing her grow and that's what I can ask for as an audience bc she's not leaving the show anytime soon.
2. Pranali acts on par with seasoned actresses, as she delivers the whirlwind of emotions going through a bride's mind with ease. It's a beautiful sight to see and it makes me respect YRKKH. I really liked the arylie wedding in Imlie. Sumbul and Fahmaan were spectacular and the rituals were completed well but the makers rushed the wedding and inserted a bunch of trp gimmicks that were unnecessary when those two powerhouses could drive the show alone. In YRKKH, it continues its traditions of grand and couple/family positive weddings which is a relief compared to other itv weddings (accidental sindoor pouring, dulha likes someone else, etc.)
3. Poor Kartik. These Kaira references are gorgeous and I spoke about them in my last post. Pranali's "maa or mumma," always melts my heart. But no one thinks about Kartik. When Akshu was looking at Kaira's picture, she was only talking to Naira which is beautiful and heartbreaking (cause she never got to spend conscious time with Naira) but it makes me feel sad for Kartik. Despite all his flaws, he was a good father who adored his kids, especially his Akshu. For every Kartik mention, there are 8 Sirat mentions and 10 Naira mentions.
4. Abhimanyu warning his cousins not to do any shararat with Akshu or during the varmala was my favourite scene. It was so sweet and so cute. That's the Abhimanyu I adore and I love seeing him on screen. "Main yaha apni marzi se aayan ho, main chata hoon varmala pehna, please meri Akshu ko pareeshan mat karna" hayeee. Honestly, I love those scenes when the dulha's side lifts their brother so the girl has a hard time and then, the dulha comes off and kneels before her so she has it easy (e.g., na bole tum na Maine kuch kaha). I think they're so romantic and sweet and this is a very cute version of that. Naam toh uska ghirija raka hai lol
5. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE KAIRAV RECOGNITION AND PRAISE - OUR BOY BE WORKING SO HARD TO MAKE THIS WEDDING PERFECT SO THANK YOU BIRLAS AND GOENKAS FOR GIVING HIM HIS DUE
6. I LOVE THE PRANK ON ABHI WITH THE NAKLI AKSHU DANCING LIKE A BHARATI LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE
7. Akshu's grand entry!!!! MY QUEEN HAS ARRIVED AND SHE IS SHINING! I love that she walked herself out - such a power move

Aarohi asked for forgiveness in front of everyone at the wedding. I did not expect that from her. A little late maybe, but there is regret there now and she acknowledged her wrongdoing. And while Abhi I suspect will remain on high alert around her, he was generous enough to forgive.

I was surprised Abhi didn’t know fake Akshu was fake - but he was so annoyed he got pranked -Ha ha! Uska Ak radar aaj kaam nhi aaya!

Guys, shadi ho rahi hai! Can’t wait for Monday!

Let's be honest tho, that dance wouldn't be completely out of character for Akshu XD This is a girl who sees Abhi, even if it's just his cardboard, and starts doing ghoomar. The give away for me, had we not been shown the precap and promos with Akshu's entry, would be the lehenga. It seemed to unAkshu

I too loved Aarohi scenes today. It's not just the beginning of Abhira's new life, Aarohi too made a new beginning by throwing all the differences between her and Abhi and genuinely apologizing to him. Abhimanyu was as usual being rude to her but the moment she said sorry even he too melted. I liked her scene with Akshara too. Akshara was nervous and Aarohi calmed her down. Akshara always wanted Aarohi to love her and care for her and her wish got fulfilled on the wedding day.

Akshara was missing both her parents but she needed Naira the most because she had mixed feelings in her. She was happy as well as nervous and as a woman only Naira could have understood Akshara's state of mind more as a woman than a mother because she too must have gone through the same feelings on her wedding day. On top of that there's also this sad feeling of leaving her house and family and moving to a new house and family. Probably it's more a woman thing and that's why Akshara needed her mom.

That's true. I imagine as a bride, I'd need my mom most too. Good moms are just something else, they know you and understand you in a way that no one could ever.

Yeah every bride will have lot of feelings inside her on her wedding day, happiness, anxiousness, nervousness, sadness etc. She needs her mom or any female close relative more so I think Akshara missing her mom more than dad was natural.

Even though i have not watched all scenes but i really loved the fact that arohi realized and apologized to abhi she has never done that in past. She was always been sort of a person who blames others for everything. But this time it was different she actually realized her mistake. That was the only thing i was waiting from arohi. Her one apology is what i was waiting for and she apologized. I know we cant actually revert her deeds. But i am giving her second chance today after watching today scenes i hope she dont dissappoint us. I too loved her scenes today. i always wished to see her as supportive sister. 😊

The main reason why I'm obsessed with that scene is her apology was self-initiated. No one prompted her or forced her and it was in front of everybody. Aarohi isn't one to initiate such things. And apologizing in front of so many people is a vulnerable thing. For Aarohi, who is an egoistic individual, that's a big deal! As you said, it doesn't negate her actions but it gives hope for change and if we, as an audience applaud this change, it might encourage makers to continue with it. No one wants Aarohi between Abhira and seeing her grow as a person is one way to protect Abhira.

As a writer, it made me really happy because one of the one-shots I wrote for a Wattpad reader involved Aarohi apologizing to Abhimanyu, out of choice, for the sake of a loved one (Neil). While posting it, I was concerned that it would be an unrealistic scenario but with today's episode, I feel better about it.
