Hello guys, after long time today I felt like coming back with aaj ka sawaal so isliye main aa gai

forum pe to I am active but just specific thing hence sperate topic

so while checking on forum I have been reading many viewers saying how akshu is typical FL and how arohi is different grey character?

So my question is what is typical FL and how different is arohi from other grey characters?

Here are my views on this , i know I am akshu supportor but this is genuine questions and all the views are welcome

IMO yes akshara is a postive character but does that make her typical I dont think so, she is calm yet powerful. Yes she has some flaws like she is too emotional for arohi, she cant read peoples intention and for her love is the only langauge she understand. But when she decides to stand up against something she stays there without even inch of doubt on it.

Arohi on other hand for me is like typical grey/negative character who is plain insecured of everyone in the family, yes it can be blamed on to her upbrining or childhood but then these days people do adapt lot of positives from peers also. She claims to be serious about her career but that is only thing I have never seen in her character.

Another point I wanted to discuss how arohi being doctor makes her more of a professional than akshara being music therapist less of professional? how only being in such profession can only have development when akshara being a singer cant have growth professionally?

Rittika thanks for tagging me. I know your very strong Akshu supporter and Aarohi hater and few others too here so I will refrain from commenting on this topic. But I think most of the users did explain that in the voting post I created.

This is lovely post and you raised good questions. I love both Akshu as lead and Aarohi in grey character. I think both are doing good in whatever roles they are offered and both needs to be appreciated not for their actions but how they are playing it.

I honestly think the characters are both typical troupes. The only uniqueness is for YRKKH to keep their gray characters gray. They can be good at times but then turn negative per convenience and then whitewashed for the next track to behave and be nice again.

Sure Arohi has a professional career but so does Akshara just because she plays music doesn't make musical therapy any less of a profession.

But society only recognize Doctors, Lawyers, Business leaders as something important. Any other profession is like whatever.

If we didn't have teachers then where do people think doctors, lawyers, business leaders come from? Someone had to teach them. But they never get their due pay or respect. Or if your garbage guy doesn't come and collect your trash guess what you house is going to be filthy. But people look down on these people because they do some menial job.

I am a viewer who started off as no one's fan. I supported characters when they were right and called out when they were wrong. I genuinely thought Aarohi changed till Vday. After that I started disliking aarohi. I call out all characters out and loud due so I am not very liked on the forum. I have called out and still call out Abhimanyu, Akshara, Harsh, Manjiri, Mahima, Neil, Kairav phir bhi I get labeled as Aarohi hater 😆 kuch jyada nainsafi nahi hai but anyways

Moving on -

I think Aarohi is not as strong as she comes across as. She is very scared of Abhimanyu and this is not new. Even when she was his fiancee she was the same. She never had a single conversation. 🤔

Where as Akshara comes across as weak but she is extremely strong. She can ghumao Abhi on her fingertip. She stood fiercely to abhi against all the excessive drama he did. She finally gave up when she realized aarohi's true intentions. Otherwise Akshara would have never given up. I have observed one thing - when Ak decides on something she stays firm on her ground.

She may speak up a little late but when she speaks up- sabka kaam tamam kar deti hai- Exactly like Kairav Said.

Akshara stayed away from home for 3 years - all alone. Apparently she didnt even visit once. How many of us have stayed away from home without visiting family for 3 years? (pandemic reason not valid). 😒

While, Aarohi was living in the house with family, In her own room, getting pampered by family, getting served by househelp and getting all attention for herself.

Aarohi says she is extremely career oriented and smart because she is a topper but is she really?? I have my doubts. She comes across as selfish. She wakes up and says from today I will focus on my career but by noon she forgets her stance. I feel her character isnt doing justice to the whole career oriented girl tribe. Come on makers - you all can do better. 🤪

also, I feel part of my Aarohi confusion comes from Karishma's acting. I have spent a long time understanding her till V day after that i gave up. I still gave her benefit of doubt during card fiasco and it turned out positive. I have been wanting a monologue for the longest time - so I could understand her inner turmoil. I FF her scenes and skip her tracks- for my sanity 😆

I had no idea about music therapy but did find it very funny when they called Ak to treat accident patient and etc. I wish makers show her doing her job properly. Makers shouldnt pick subjects that they cant master in. It really ruins the purpose. But It doesnt demean her profession. Just because she isnt a dr she shouldnt be looked down upon in comparison to her sister

I don’t know about other female leads and other grey characters, and I generally don’t like comparisons, so I’ll just comment on Akshu and Aarohi!

Firstly, I think Pranali deserves all of the praise in the world for bringing Akshu to life. It’s impossible to tell that this is only her second show, because she knocks every single scene out of the park. Akshu is quiet and calm and patient, and while these qualities may come across as her weaknesses, they are actually her greatest strengths. She doesn’t speak up and create scenes all the time, but when she does talk, everyone is forced to listen, and everyone around her is silenced. And with time, we are seeing her develop her own voice and speak up more and more often. It takes great strength to stay positive and kind after going through all of the trauma that she has gone through. But, she has not let her pain make her cold hearted. Rather, she has transformed her pain into tremendous care for everyone around her. Also, she has been sidelined by her family and emotionally manipulated by her sister her entire life after losing 3 parents, and yet, she always keeps a smile on her face and sees things positively. That is the mark of someone with tremendous tolerance and strength. I’m really happy to be seeing her finally getting out of her guilt and standing up to aarohi…and I am excited to see her continue to develop in this regard.

As for Aarohi. She has gone through a lot of trauma in her life as well. And, I initially felt deeply for her. I also related to her ambition in terms of her career when the show first began. But, unfortunately, I’m unable to relate to her anymore. Even though it was due to her own manipulation and she was fully aware that Abhi only loved Akshu, I still felt for her when she was left at the mandap. No girl should have to go through that. But, it is how she responded to that pain that crossed the line for me. If she had been upset and angry, I would have felt for her. She was okay with Akshu and claimed to move on while Akshu didn’t have Abhi…but the second the families started accepting Abhira, she started creating kaands again. She will always want more than Akshu, or else she won’t be happy. She will always be jealous of Akshu, and she will always try to manipulate Akshu to get her own way. But, that is where she will ultimately go wrong…because she takes akshu’s kindness and love to be her weakness…but abhi’s love is transforming Akshu and showing her what real love is. Akshu has always been strong, but abhi’s love is giving her the courage to finally stand up. Sometimes we need someone who sees the power in us to become powerful ourselves.

I don’t only blame Aarohi for how she is. I actually blame the Goenkas more, because they have never held her accountable. They are the reason that she is so entitled, just like they are the reason why Akshu is so traumatized. Aarohi has no sense of accountability, and because she has always gotten whatever she wants, she thinks she deserves everything. The only person that matters to her is herself at the end of the day. When it comes down to it, she can do anything to protect herself, as we are seeing now.
I would be more than happy to see her truly get redeemed, but I’m not seeing how that would be possible at this point.

As for careers…I believe that we should respect everyone regardless of their job or lack of job! All professions and the decision to not work deserve the same respect.

For now, aarohi does not seem career oriented to me at all, because she is too preoccupied with her personal life and making akshu’s life hell (and now with the accident fear). I wish the makers would have actually focused on her career, because that had potential.

She has that mahantha.. but that is restricted to only few instances. She does not care about her mahantha if someone is in trouble. Like going against manish to help abhi during jail track. Confessing her love.

She realllllllyyyyyyyy takes long time to assess 😆 where as other fls gets that within 1 or 2 days .

She is also sort of bubbly and can do whatever can make others happy. Even if its childish. Like sami dance. None of the other typical fls does that. All typical fls are reserved they act very matured sensible and stay away from these childish stuffs. 😊

Arohi.. she is definitely not career oriented. She is sort of juggling between how to shoo off her sibling's fiancee in ten days and how to make kands every day.

She became doctor because it was the best course available but she does not have passion for it. I have never seen her showing that passion.if she is just a normal doctor with no passion then she cant go beyond to certain level. Where as akshu has passion for what she does. Even abhi for that matter. Akshu is passionate about singing. Now she might be concentrating on marriage. But she always liked singing even its to make other happy she does that. In future she might work on it and get to the top. But arohi i dont think she would do that 😊

Ok I am back at it after so long, so I have been Aarohi hater and I refuse to deny it. Jo hain so hain, I can't stand on 2 ships at the same time now.....

But Aarohi never gave me a reason to love her post her running away for MD.

I don't understand how Aarohi is called a grey character when she is a full fledged black character. The girl whole heartedly says that to finish the chapter she will manipulate and emotionally blackmail her sister, she doesn't even shutter a bit to bring her mother's death just to save her face.🤬

Why the hell do we think that she will care for others mother when she didn't care for hers.

Coming to the career oriented behaviour when Manish had asked both the girls to resign from the job Aarohi had taken a firm stand that she doesn't want others mothers to die like she her mother did.

Where as on the same scenario she left a woman or anyone even if she didn't see who it was to die, but as a doctor or even as a human being it was her general responsibility to check if she had hit anyone.

Talking about her doctor skills and Akshara's music therapy skills to be honest I have seen Akshara sing more songs then Aarohi doing a surgery.

All she does is rome around in the hospital and go around spying what the nurses are talking about.😤

How Aarohi is a strong character whenever she is in Problem she finds Akshara to blame. She can't even own up to her mistakes, her mother died out of an accident she her sister for it, further she run away for the MD exam but believed her sister for running with her husband but never acknowledge that she did a mistake too. So a person who can't even shout without bringing her sister in a fear of being called out how can she be a strong.

That's it Aarohi is a character who can no longer be redeemed anymore now for me 😡

N now would I want her to be positive cuz the actor seems good only for throwing tantrums, I can not see her in positive role anymore 🤣

Second the question you raised on your post was different from what I am asking, you were asking about character growth people were more interested in and here I am asking about difference in akshu being typical/non typical FL and arohi being typical or non typical negative lead.

Thanks for appreciating the post and yes both the actors are doing their job but this post was to ask question on characters and not actors.

PS more than Akshu I am very strong abhira supportor and I am proud of that ❤️

Very good points rasied with reference to professions also.Yes teachers never got the due credit for which are entitled for and kind of hardwork they put in and thats goes without saying. It same with other professions as well.

I raised this point here coz just because arohi is a in noble profession like doctor she get free pass of being called as career oriented and Akshara as just girl who wants to marry.

No no disco you did not deviate from the topic and even it you did, Its ok the forum open for all kinds of opinions.

I started this show as nobody lover and thb just for Pranali as actor and not what her character graph was. when she was being mahanta ki murti I just hated her though on one side I knew her background or reasons as well so I had empathy as well towards her too.

Arohi was always introduced as strong headed doctor who wants to chase her dream and I liked that about her. But the lamest reason she gave to get married to abhi pissed me off and I was wondering where was her career here?

Akshu left her job coz manish asked her to I was not in that favour bu just to make others happy she made that choice but thts how she has been shown which is OK

In reference to using the medical profession with senstivity makers have literelly given us headaches be it Akshu accident or manjari's accident. I so wish makers give litting detailing to these things and also if they can give proper defination of the career line of Akshara.

Another thing I wanted to add here was though arohi says she is very strong headed she is way to dependent on akshra for everything. She always say if you are by my side nothing can happend to me and not at all self relient which is very unlike of negative characters are they are pretty bad on their own without any support.

Also I want makers to make people like neil, kairav etc start working.
