I can’t help but agree. The kindest interpretation is he is in love with being in love and has let loose for the first time in his highly controlled/repressed existence. I think a lot of it is just bad writing/direction.

Early Kartik was just so charming as a “latoo majnu” - Abhi unfortunately lacks a similar charm (for me anyway). He’s becoming less likeable to me with every passing episode :(
Hey, I see where you are coming from. And he did give me that vibe when he brought akshara to his house and asked her to confess. THAT was creepy and quite inconsiderate and insensitive. However, he does know when to stop. He knows his boundaries. All the "intense" sides were only until akshara rejected him. and now everything is clear as crystal. he did all that because he was so confident that Akshara loves him back and will reciprocate his feelings. When akshara refused though, he stepped back right away. As a matter of fact, he didn't go after her despite knowing she was lying in his face. He didn't even dig into why Akshara left for pune when he overheard Kairav saying "that's why she left so easily" in yesterday's episode. He confessed to his mother that akshu still makes his heart go wild and that he doesn't know what to do about it - yet he didn't hunt her down like some psycho, creepy lover lol. The proper adjectives in my dictionary for him are definitely pragmatic, respectful and humble.
ok I like Abhimanyu as this dynamic doctor,..it’s nice to see the male lead having a career and working ….with Karthik we used to complain because he seemed to be running behind naira the whole day and was never at work. But when it comes to romance ,…our kaira were the best…to me they were very realistic,..they were attracted to each other , then courted and fell in love and had their love marriage.. I’m not from India so I find this whole arranged marriages hard to digest…so the way abhimanyu is going about this thing with akshara is not appealing.. Anyways as usual Star has instructed RS to copy Ichche Nodee. The ML also just fell in love immediately. It is a pretty dark concept and the writer is trying to make it as light as possible.
Harshad becomes very intense in such roles it reflects on the character.
Yes there is no character progression in either, Akshara, Kairav or Arohi Goenka. It is the writers fault. He hasn't even bothered to check what the previous one wrote.
Abhi's family members are very transparent and their sketch is far more better than the legacy torch bearers.
The bad writing started last year itself when Sirat came into the pic.

What I meant was that Abhira will not be everyones cup of chai. People say Ashwariya Rai is beautiful but there will be some who don't think so. Each to their own. And I actually do get where you are coming from trust me but I don't think Abhi is a bad character.
