Missing Old Yrkkh - Page 2

I have watched YRKKH since episode one and felt the show was officially over when the second generation became adults. No hate to 2nd generation, they also contributed to the show but I felt like the essence of YRKKH was gone there and there.

The 3rd generation is like a new show but that's how I felt with 2nd generation well. Only difference is that I like the new lead pair hence I'm watching it. Just treat it like a new show because in a way, it is. You'll either like it or not like it. Nothing will ever be same as first season because that was a whole different time and story. It's futile to expect this new generation to be same as old one.

It would have been so much easier if DKP ended with Kaira and just introduced a whole new show since Yrkkh is no more an original show and is going the remake way. It’s so hard to not compare with the previous gens because it’s still titled as Yrkkh but feels nothing like it. Definitely agree that it can’t be like the previous gens as times have changed but I guess I hoped that they would keep it non-toxic as it used to be and have more simpler story telling than rushed and ott episodes.

Will watch more episodes and I hope the new pairing grow on me. I like them as individuals but as a pairing I’m yet to see some sort of chemistry.

Totally agree that everyone has their own likes and preferences. Because I disliked the 1st generation of yrkkh so much. It was super annoying to watch Akshara on screen. It was a snooze fest according to me. I still remember how cringey I felt watching a scene where Naksh was younger and get locked in the car and she was trying to console him. It was so bad.

Again, I am not saying the 2nd and 3rd gen are praiseworthy. It atleast doesn't make me cringe. Story wise everything on ITV is cringe and toxic. But it was fun to watch Karia (I did stop when Kartik became too toxic and unbearable). The 3rd generation is fine till now. I will probably stop when the hero starts getting super toxic and there is too much negativity.

Everyone has there presences and that’s fine. Naksh and Kaira were good as pairing especially the latter but abhira seem like a mismatched pairing and give more sibling vibes which is why I’m yet to change my opinion on them yet. Cringe scene I guess are in every generation like Kaira romancing in freakin in ppe and in the recent gen where abhira unknowingly met in the hospital. That scene got trolled all over Twitter and rightly so. Waiting for them to give less sibling vibes and more couple vibes.

The current season is bad and illogical. Doesn't make sense whatsoever. Even the casting is not on point.

True. I still like Abhi's chemistry with Arohi.

Regarding cringe scenes, the issue is proper feedback. I have watched a good number of episodes of YRKKH because of YRHPK and there is day and night difference in the screen play. Someone ought to inform the team.

The writer has a Radhe Krishna behind him.He is currently in demand but the man's expertise is mythology. He curbed the damage by tweeting his opinion therefore online fans aren't even giving proper reviews.

Even Kaira had typical cliche scenes but from 2016 to 2018 YRKKH had everything going great for them.

More than siblings they are giving an obsessive lover vibes with the scenes being creepy rather than romantic

Positivity and exploration of various relationships were the hallmark of YRKKH

Why would they make the mistake of getting a writer whose expertise is mythology to write for a modern family type soap? Looked him up... sorry, but with due respect, didn't find him too impressive..

Their story lost touch but they had a connection to og Yrkkh and still and half Yrkkh vibes till it was destroyed beyond repair.

Totally missing the Naksh era everything about the show was so much better then. From the romantic relationships to the platonic everything was ok point. Not to mention so many family members and so many tracks exploring different relationships. Miss the old yrkkh music as well.

Gen 3 is so bland and rushed I thought I would connect but it’s got no Yrkkh vibes.

It seems like a new story altogether, not an extension.
