Kaira aren't even suffering?

What was the point of them acting like moving to Mumbai is some big sacrifice & test of character?

Kaira are living their best life right now. Taking their sweet time to resolve the Kairav-Naira issue. Lavish homes & domestic help. They haven't missed their family once. Naira is free of her dance academic's responsibility & Kartik of the family office.

But Goenka's are mourning like someone's dead. (Earlier Gayu's family was supposed to move & everyone was cool with it. Even treating it like an upgrade) They've replaced their golden couple with Naksh & Keerti. To hell with Singhania's, they aren't even relevant.

Krishna is living exactly how Manish suggested. He said Kaira can provide for her but shouldn't become her parents. That's exactly what ended up happening. So all that fighting with the family & punishing kids into accepting her was utterly pointless. Kaira were earlier so obsessed with her that they neglected Kairav but don't even talk about her anymore.

ETA : This was also Kairav's first birthday since his family learned of his existence. But to hell with that too. Naira made Goa-special jelly cake for him & that's all that matters.

Continuity & character arcs are silly things.
