Yes because the said wife is psychopath who LIED about donating her kidney to save someone's life. She manipulated him into staying married to her. The said wife wanted to jump on him by hook or by crook, hence planned a honeymoon knowing fully well the husband has feelings for someone else. The wife is so desperate to sleep with him that she herself said that if need be, she would stop him from meeting his 5 year old son.

Kartik is no saint but he has never concealed his feelings from Vedika. He has been very honest about where she stands in his life. Vedika, on the other hand, has been nothing but a two faced manipulator who has tried every trick possible to stay married to Kartik, be it attempting suicide, throwing the divorce papers, lying about being the donor, etc, etc. I would still give her the benefit of the doubt when it comes to her wanting Naira to stay away from Kartik but Kairav? He's a 5 year old who needs his father yet the woman said she would stop Kartik from meeting his son? How desperate can one be?

I get your dislike for Kartik and Naira. They are majorly flawed characters and not everyone will support them just because of their chemistry, however, I don't understand how can you support Vedika? She's been acting as a lunatic, she has committed a crime, yet you think she's justified? According to you, she was wronged by Kartik, fair enough, however, does that mean she should cross all limits in her desperation? How can you advocate for such a character who has zero self-respect? She wants to stay married to guy who longs for another woman just because she loves him? Do you think her living in her delusional land is explainable just because Kartik wronged her?

PS: I am not justifying Kartik or Naira but I genuinely wanna know, how can you turn a blind eye to everything Vedika has done till now? Do two wrongs make a right?

Me too - and I've asked the same thing several times. But I doubt we'll get a straight answer. In the meantime, to address the "I don't see how Kartik is any better than Vedika" comment, here's a partial list of horrible things Vedika has done that Kartik has not:

1) Committed a crime. Yep that's what organ trafficking is.

2) Is a pathological liar - lied about the kidney donation, lied about the divorce papers, lied to Naira multiple times about multiple things, lied to the Goenkas about her mysterious disappearance and Akshat's motives, and who knows what else during the episodes I didn't watch.

3) Plotted to force herself physically on someone who doesn't want to be with her - that's attempted rape

4) Plotted in cold blood to separate a parent from a child - that's some real wicked stepmother thinking right there.

5) Wore way too much eyeliner

Therefore objectively the terribleness of Vedika >>>>>>>> the terribleness of Kartik. QED.

However there is one thing that Vedika and Kartik have in common - both have psychotic exes who mentally tortured and blackmailed them...

I really wonder if the few people who actually sympathise with Vedika would have felt the same had the gender been reversed. What if Naira was pressurised into marrying someone and what if that guy had tried to force himself upon her? What if he had hugged her repeatedly against her wish/ planned a honeymoon with her/ even stroked her hand like Vedika was stroking Kartik’s today. What if someone had threatened to separate Kairav from Naira?

Vedika has been forcing herself on Kartik and it’s a shame that even in today’s age, people don’t see a problem with it. Even if they are legally married, Vedika can’t force this relationship on Kartik, something which she has been trying to do off late. I feel Vedika’s antics have been trivialised by the cvs just because she’s a woman 🤷🏻‍♀️. It’s disappointing to think that such a weak character was written by women themselves.

Exactly - an unwanted touch is so distressing. Most of us here are women (I assume) and just think how yucky it feels on the train or some public place when we are forced to experience it in passing. Now imagine having someone in your life who does not respect that physical boundary at all and is constantly pawing at you because they feel you owe them something. Man or woman, it is very traumatic to be touched against one's will. This was highlighted in the Puru Mama track and even the Aditya track for Naira but sure just because Kartik is a man and Vedika a woman, then it's okay.../Sarcasm>.

Ugh, I can't wait for Vedika to be gone completely - I'm not sure I'll ever enjoy watching Kaira as much as I did in the early episodes but at least I won't be gnashing my teeth and cringing into a cushion!

It should ended the day Naira was assumed dead when she ran off 5 years ago. It saddens me to see what was once a great show be butchered so badly by this writers. The post leap story doesn't look interesting so I'm ready to move on as I was only watching for Pankhuri.

Well then, my condolences on the loss of your favorite character. Her journey was SO praiseworthy and her track record so utterly pristine... oh wait... no it wasn't. But good for you - even psychos need some love.

Anyway there several excellent shows featuring psycho women like Vedika and even more shows featuring mediocre one-note actresses. Good luck finding a new favorite soon!
