From maheswaris-singhanias to goenkas. iss show ko kya naam doon?

Hi. Am a very old IF member and i did rarely post here. I needed a post to vent out.

I follow this show on n off. There was a time wen i used to love this show despite some silly tracks. The olden golden YRKKH was frankly over for me after badi dadi threw akshara out. Seriously mass character assassinations, unnecessary silly tracks and too many confusing elements started bringing the show down. Still, i didnt give up on the show till goenkas entered and took up the entire screen space.

The goenkas are now making me miss Maheswari and Singhania families. The show is seriously stagnating with repetitive notions, non stop rhona dhrona, too much of negativity, immaturity and occassions of insanity.

I miss Naitik Akshara days. They were the most mature couple on the show. The two families are way better than chauvinistic, classist, egoistic goenkas. Plus writers were much better those days.

It is a shame that rajan shahi arrogantly did not acknowledge the original cast members including the two leads for their contribution to the original 8-9 yrs of yrkkh.

The current ongoing track is a testimony of how the makers have changed, have gone ekta kapoor way, have succumbed to trp race, have destroyed all the characters including kaira just to stretch episodes over months. They have nothing better to write and hence they focus on yeh rishta pyar ke (dont even start me on that. I dont follow the show but am surprised thay mishti being a singhania is adopted by maheshwaris despite her family still being there).

And where r baaki sab? Keerti, her son, naitik, rajbanna?

It is a personal pain to see a mature, sane show becoming nothing but only weddings, repetitive tracks, too much of negativity and melodrama. Do they take the audience to be fools?

I needed a vent out but i need more words but cant go on.... It ie frustrating to see my fav shows going off air one after the other (sgp, pv, mjht etc) and yrkkh used to be a magical show for me.

I used to think Akshara's maayka n sasural are old fashioned and do take time to progress. Then i met the goenkas. They r show offs, dikhava hai. And i miss Maheswari Singhania families because despite their old fashioned ways, they r more open minded, more supportive of daughters and daughters in law and are progressive, broad minded, willing to change n adapt genuinely.

Completely agree with you. Yrkkh used to be a very good show with quite realistic storyline. Akshara and Naitik had so much trust and understanding and we really got to see the relationship and the characters grow. Akshara's character from being a shy girl who didn't step out of the house without Bhola bhaiya to this woman who managed business..that was growth, that was woman empowerment. And Singhanias and Maheshwaris inspire on being very traditional and orthodox people never differentiated between bahu and beti and did came around and understood and accepted the younger generation's pov. The show kind of lost its charm for me after Gayatri's death but it was completely done after the leap, both when Naksh grew up and Naira grew up. I still used to watch to it on and off but it has become so regressive now that it makes me sad.

Naira has nothing better to do but just run away and behave like a punching bag for Karthik and the same track of Karthik and Naira seperation is repeated in different scenarios. Seriously this show should have ended atleast 2 years back. It has just become a sick show which promotes regressive mindsets and weaks protagonists. This is what happens when producers become too arragant for their own good.

Rajan Shahi ka Kachra should be the name of this show now. 🤣 It has nothing good to offer. I feel bad and pity for the show, for what it has become.

I agree completely with you guys. Old days were the best. The show ended when original Naitik and Akshara left. Now it's just crapfest.

Nothing seems real or realistic. Naira and Kartik are such badly written characters. Producers and writers have destroyed their show for trp money game.
