I agree that Naira is not thinking straight and is doing what she can to keep Kartik from being hurt and protecting him
BUT
Looking at it from kittu's POV imagine how he will feel when he realises that his move is dying and she again HID it from him after 1001 instances of begging her to not keep things from him
Then imagine if he goes away and LuKu call him saying bhai we went to see bhabhi in the hospital and she is DYING or bhai bhabhi has died-- imagine what he will go through? IMAGINE!!
And when he realises that Swarna knew this and knew about the divorce also he will totally crumble and think the two people he trusted the most have now totally betrayed him.
Also i feel this may happen: Kittu will mope around for a few days and then in anger agree to go to the US and at the last minute he will run into the doctor from the hospital who will ask him how his wife is and say hope she gets better with treatment and he will then run to the hospital and see her there and there will be a whole scenario of why didn't you tell me; you think i would have left you etc etc
