MUMBAI: Being the top daily soap for
four consecutive weeks, Star Plus' Yeh
Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is giving out
strong social messages as well. In
tonight's episode, the show, which
has always focused on Indian values,
will show another aspect of
relationships: separation.
It so happens that Luv and Kush are
ostracized by their friends over their
brother Kartik ( Mohsin Khan) getting
divorced.
In the episode, the makers are going
to showcase that there are many
aspects to our social fabric. As much as
we love marriages, even divorces are a
part of the system.
(Also Read: "No one is bigger than
the show, says Yeh Rishta Kya
Kehlata Hai Producer Rajan Shahi)
When Luv and Kush are bullied, Kartik
and Naira ( Shivangi Joshi) come
together to share a message. The
premise of the episode would be to
give out the message that divorce is
not a bad thing; two people can love
each other and still be separated due
to circumstances. This doesn't
necessarily mean that the two of them
are bad.
While talking about the same, Rajan
Shahi, the man behind the iconic saga,
reveals that is one of the most thought
over tracks to have been introduced.
'A lot of thought has gone into the
concept of separating one of the most
loved couple's of the TV. But it was
required as life is not a bed full of
roses. The whole idea is to give it a
positive outcome.'Shahi says.
Well, the makers are giving out an
important and beautiful message with
their show. Entertainment is indeed a
form of expression and the makers
know how to do it right!

True but that is not always the case. Naira seems to have forgotten how she was treated by Karthik and the Goenka family. So I guess in her eyes Karthik is still a good guy. (he pushed you around and called you a murderer)

There are many cases where people get married with the wrong intentions. (example, possible inheritance, greencard, money) Not everyone is good but then not everyone is bad.

In many cases the divorce is due to negative behavior otherwise people are able to sort out the issues.
In Naira's case there was just too must hostility and time had passed but the anger and accusations did not stop.

The message though a nice one seems hypocritical coming from them after all that happened in their lives.

Re-marriage with the same person does happen. Biggest example are Bollywood star, Hrithik Roshan for whom the news is hot that he is all set to re-marry his ex-wife , Suzzane Khan.

But for everything one needs time. This people used to get jitters only when they used to be in front of a lawyer but after that used to go back to the normal of fighting and blaming and wanting divorce.

They should have been shown contemplating about their decision when they first felt jittery about divorce, rather than becoming a clean slate right after the divorce.

While divorce happens & it is very common, however, his serial hasn't handled it well in my opinion. Kaira still have major issues and has yet to fully address them. Also, the way the divorce happens, the separated individuals don't always see each other often unless you have children.

Whilst I appreciate that cvs may have set out to de-stigmatise divorce, but in my opinion all this track is doing is making a mockery out of marriage... marriage is being shown like child's play.

one minute kaira' are the ideal couple, then they are angry, next thing divorced & now back to falling in love...madness.

I get that through Rajshri naani's words cvs tried to convey how nowadays people act in anger & don't think of the consequences but the way in which they showed both families just standing by & leaving Naira & Karthik to their own devices at the court hearing was not convincing at all ... I mean c'mon we are talking about their marriage & their whole lives here... which parents/family would just stand by?

I think more than their issues, their families have 1000s of issues. When they are left alone, everything is fine, the moment family comes into picture, especially the Goenkas, everything goes wrong. Someone incites something and Kartik/Naira get some rubbish into his/her head and start troubling the other partner and that leads to a rootna-bichadna-manana-milan cycle😆
