Part 2

He got down from the ring, the bookie ran towards him, praising him how he fought and thanked him that because of him he won a lot. He gave his share and said,Here is your share.. And please do come on regular basis... I am gonna be rich soon, Kartik gave him a stern look of his thinking but not saying anything to him he refused to take money and asked him to enjoy it on his own. He took steps, it was getting difficult for him tom walk and why not he was hurt more emotionally than physically. Getting into his car, he rested his head against the headrest.

All the flashes staring coming infront of his eyes one by one, he didn't wish to go anywhere but he had to, else everyone will get start worrying out. He saw here and there and saw a small clinic. He went there and gave a bundle of notes to doctor and asked him to do the dressing without asking his name or anything. The clinic was small and doctor usually cures the people who fight in the ring beside to his clinic. For the first time he saw that much money, he instantly did the dressing and pain killers he told that if he needed instant cure than he need to give him injection.

Kartik thought for a second, a flashback of injection came up where Naira being herself scared of injection asked doctor to gave her when her leg was hurt in college. He asked doctor to gave him the injection as no pain is more painful than his heart is going on.

Today not his eyes, his soul, his heart, every inch of his body was crying, shattered into pieces. These broken bones are not giving that much pain, that is going inside his heart. He just wanted to run away, but no he has no other choice, so he did what he thought would be best, giving pain to himself. So what could be better than a street fight, today he was not fighting with a man in the ring but with himself.

Part 3

He ignited the engine and drove, where he don't know himself, wherever his conscious was taking him. He halted his car at a back of a house, he looked above towards a window, his mind was saying, why did he came but his heart wanted to stay there. All what he want is just a glimpse. A glimpse is his painkiller and he knew, his mind and heart both knew about it. He looked above seeing her lost in her thoughts counting stars in the sky but his eyes were searching for the lost sparkle of his eyes. Just then he saw her talking happily with one of the favorite person of her life, her father who was caring for her and always been there for her support.

Knowing she already has someone who will always be there to support her, to be with her he shouldn't be waiting here much. He has already troubled her a lot, he raised the accelerator and went down from there.

Naira looked down for a second, she sensed him, but then why he could be here, he had already signed the divorce papers. After their final showdown in the park nothing is left to discussed or talked about but then why she is sensing that he was there down and wanted to talk to her. She though giving fake smile to her father, her mind was already somewhere else. She wanted to give a call to him, after yesterday's showdown, its been a day he has saw him. But then that no new they have no seen each other for almost 2 years, so that does not make much sense of missing him. Missing...she corrected herself, after all such happened she is missing him. She corrected herself, that it of no news of missing him. He didn't care and why would he care.. Who am I to him...

Leaving her thoughts behind, she closed the windows and went to get some sleep. All these has been all roller coaster for her and from tomorrow her divorce proceedings and Anmol-Mansi marriage are getting started.

Kartik tip-toed to his room slowly so that no one is aware of his incoming and moreover his wound. Thankfully he didn't get much bruises on his face, rest other he can cover.

Next morning everyone was waiting for Kartik to join breakfast. It's been quite late. Swarna, Dadi and everyone were quiet tensed, by this time Kartik usually shows up. Swarna asked servant whether Kartik returned from jogging, but servant informed that he didn't went for any jogging today. Everyone was tensed about Kartik's whereabouts, Swarna stood to look at his room, when Manish stopped her said that he himself will look for his son, when they saw coming down from stairs but something was different with Kartik. He seems to be more in pain and pain was quiet visible on his face, he was not walking properly as if being wounded and his hand has a crepe bandage. Instantly everyone rush towards him...Manish hold him, cupping his face he asked,Kartik.. Son what happened... did someone hurt you...???. Kartik knew he couldn't tell the truth to anyone but he wanted to share his pain with his father, atleast he is the only one in the house who'll listen to to him and will understand his feelings and specially will not rant about it.. But he can't let him knew like this. He needed some time to gather himself, he'll try to keep it himself, he don't want to hurt any member of his family not a single one.

He straightened himself and said he was been mugged by some goons on the highway and in that he was hurt, before giving anytime to someone react he changed the topic and said,I am so Hungry... Maa please.. Serve breakfast.. I really had a very important meeting today. Manish already sensed something is different and something is definitely his son is hiding.

Meeting was short lived, as Kartik made such a great presentation that no one could say anything. He was going through his files, when his had hit a pen stand beside and a loud scream came out his mouth, he hold his hand tightly close to his heart, the pain was immense. He took some pills and gulp down his throat in assumption that it will also ease out the pain that going inside him and by pain he does not mean to be the one he got hurt from yesterday's fight. T

hinking he called the doctor and talked him secretly. His mind was shattered into pieces, he was trying to place each and every piece together but couldn't put up that strength, he wanted to call her, listen her beautiful voice. It's not that he has not seen her ... it's been almost two years he had seen her face and now all of a sudden they met in Mumbai. But then post that there wasn't a day he met didn't met her. He just wanted to see her. He couldn't himself why he wanted and what he'll say after meeting her but he wanted. That's just his heart has held it out.

But seems almighty has something else to do with it.

He though got a call from Goenka Mansion, Dadi wants to visit singhanias to talk about Anmol and Mansi marriage but his dismay she wasn't present there. He looked here and there...searching for her... Naitik notices it, he went to him and said slowly,One you are looking for is not here right now..!.

He made a face like what he is saying and said,No.. No.. I was just looking for Anmol. Lest Kartik knew his and Naira relation is defaming but Naitik and Manish friendship is bonding more. Manish already told about the morning scenario to Naitik. Naitik played with Kartik and said, I was also talking about Anmol only... ! By the way Kartik what happened to your hand.. All Good??. Kartik told the same story, but every time he his eyes was searching for her. He was scolding himself, Why Kartik... why are you looking for her.. She does not matter to you any more...!!. He slowly wipes the tear formed in his eyes when his mind stated about her not being mattered to him because his heart knew very well she did matter to him a lot.

Dadi took exit from Singhania house, much to Kartik dismay.. He had only taken a step forward when he collided with the person whom he was searching for hours, no for months or rather say for years. He hold her tight not letting her to fall, how could he let her fall, he can't. His grip was tight enough that she was too close to him, their breaths were mingling with each other, his eyes met with hers first, but lowered down not wanting to meet his but when his eyes followed her they stop on her lips. They are still same, half open trying to say something but then giving away eyes to say it all.

Indeed his shoulder was paining because of wound, his hand was paining but what was more paining was his heart, he felt numb for few seconds when she was in arms, that those few seconds lasted not long and they has came in to their conscious.

She saw his face in pain and looked to see his wounded hand, asked out of impulse, Kartik.. What happened..!! she said in full of concern that Kartik thought twice whether he is hearing it right... but soon Naira composed herself and asked starightly , I mean.. Mansi's brother is hurt.. Just wanted to know what happened... if he needs any help.. Family is there to support.

He got hurt again hearing those words " Mansi's brother.. that it.. Is he is now only Mansi's brother for her... the pain was increasing with each of these words piercing into his skin. He didn't said anything and went away, thinking may be he deserves this... no.. his heart screamed and said he deserves even worst of it.

They sat on the car and drove towards Goenka House, he tried to see if she came back to see him but no.. she didn't. Soon he removed his eyelids from rear mirror to road, she came back. She was equally concerned, Kartik is wounded but she is also not in less pain. How can she be, her Kartik had a fight and why she feels that something else is there. Today his eyes were not slaying hatredness rather something else. Well hatredness was never been in his eyes, only in his words but today she saw something else as well.

Her chain of thoughts were broken by Naitik, she wanted to ask him how Kartik got injured but then why she should ask, thinking its his life she shouldn't be thinking she went inside only leaving her one piece of mind in finding how did Kartik hurt.

Kartik dropped Dadi to Goenka Villa and said, Dadi you please go.. I have a very important meeting to attend. Dadi tried to persuade but he didn't listen and from there he straightly went to doctor.

Kartik was talking injection from a doctor,Doctor please, aap mujhe injection hi dijiye, atleast usse pain nahi hoga..!. Doctor tried to explain him, But Mr. Goenka ye kaafi painful hai aur jesa mene kaha tha you didn't even rest for a minute..

Kartik explained him that there is a marriage function of his sister and he can't rest that's why he seeking for injections. Later he went to another doctor's clinic where he had a silent conversation with him. This time he was smiling, thanking his Krishna ji for showing him the direction.

Naira was in her room thinking about what had happened in these years when she heard Naitik waiting for a response from her side. She quickly wiped her tears and smiled to her father. Naitik knowing what his daughter is going through he pulled her into a hug and consoled her, Don't think so much princess.. Everything will be fine soon... She didn't said anything but silence was speaking at it's loudest. To break the silence Naitik asked her,So how was the appointment with doctor..?.

Naira explained that doctor said with an operation her leg would be fine and there is a possibility that she may dance again. Her eyes sparkle again when she said she can dance again, Naitik couldn't thank doctor and his god enough of giving a ray of hope to them about his daughter's career and passion.

Kartik was getting inside to his car, when he saw a reflection.. He was shocked to see his chachu and father were standing all shocked and concern. He tried to make a smiely face but then his pain was too visible on his face to hide it from his father ofcourse. His cachu has always been the best buddy, Akhilesh gave a warm hug to him and asked,Are you feeling better. He simply nodded where Manish was just staring at him blankly. "Papa.
