"Karthik where are we going", asked Naira for the umpteen time
"Remember it is a surprise princess", Karthik gave the same response, once again.
Karthik and Naira, were on their date, more like on the way to their date. Naira had lied at home that she was going to a friend's place and would be late. Karthik had made an excuse as well. They had been travelling for nearly two hours now. Naira looked all around through the window, but couldn't figure out where they were heading to.
"Please Karthik sirf ek chota said hint hi dedo", pleaded Naira
"Baby why don't you enjoy the ride and forget about where we are heading too", suggested Karthik
"Stop being such a... mendak", Naira said irritated
"Just 10 more minutes", Karthik answered and it happened just like he said.
The gates opened and their car entered. Naira jumped out as soon as Karthik had the car parked, Karthik shook his head at her behavior and smiled to himself.
"Karthik, where are we", Naira said looking around. There was a huge garden like area one end and car park on the other, nothing else could be seen.
"Come", Karthik spoke giving his hand and Naira gladly took, he led her to a staircase which she hadn't noticed earlier and the walked up.
"Beautiful", escaped her lips, seeing the sight in front of her.
"You like it", Karthik whispered into her ears, wrapping his arms around her from the back.
"It's beautiful", Naira said lost at the sight in front
"So you booked this place, for our date", Naira asked
"No Jaan I bought it", Karthik answered
"What", Naira screamed getting out of his grip and turning around to face him.
"Karthik this place may have caused a fortune", she said
"Not really, the previous owners were in a hurry, so they sold it for Mich lesser then the actual value and they needed someone, who would pay them quick in cash, you know the bank manager is dad's friend so I got a loan pretty easily.", he informed, leading her into the house.
"But still Karthik what was the need", Naira asked with a bit of irritation
"And that too at the outskirts of the city", she added sounding a bit mad
"Naira we will not be shifting", Karthik cleared, understanding that Naira was thinking that they would be shifting here after their marriage.
"We won't", she asked for confirmation and heaved a sigh of relief as Karthik nodded positively
"Then why did you get this place", she asked curiously
"Just so that we have a place where we can come to, when we want to get away from the hustle bustle of the city", Karthik answered.
"A place where we can spend time with each other and the family as well, when any of us like", he continued
"Do you like it", he asked
"Like it, I love it. This place is gorgeous", Naira replied in awe and Karthik smiled seeing her look around happily
"Don't you want to look all around", Karthik asked and Naira nodded her head positively and rapidly in response, Karthik smiled at her cuteness and showed her all the rooms.
Finally they reached up to the terrace, which was beautifully decorated. In the centre was a table and two chairs close to each other, near the table. At the corner there was another table much longer with all the food kept to be precise different types of chats, Naira squealed looking at it and ran to the food table.
"Spicy just as you like it", Karthik said as Naira took a spoon and dug into one of the chats and Naira replied with a Mmm while she ate some more. They took some chata in their plates and sat on the table. As the spicy yoghurt mixture spread around her lips, she stuck her tongue out and ran them around her lips and she repeated the same action couple of times as she ate.
Karthik smashed her lips on her kissing her for a couple of seconds.
"Someone's in a romantic mood", Naira teased, as it is was the first time he had kissed all of a sudden like that.
"Can you blame me if you lick your lips in this irresistible way", Karthik answered blushing a bit.
"Aww, I love my blushing mendak", said Naira laughing.
The date continued with them feeding each other.
Since it was late already, they decided to stay the night here because going home would also take some hours. Naira called home and said she would be sleeping over at her friends place, Karthik already had an idea that it would get late so he had informed earlier about it.

"Naira Jaan you remember what we decided right", Karthik said as they were on their way
"Yes, No mentioning about the new house until the loan is paid", she answered
"And you remember too right", she asked
"Yes, you will help pay half the loan", Karthik replied
"Exactly and remember no excuses", she said firmly
"Yeah yeah I remember, last night's lecture", Karthik answered
"Karthik am not putting all the pressure on your shoulders. I want to share all our responsibilities.", he continued, as he mimicked her lecture from last night.

Time flew by, nearly a year past, Kaira's relationship grew, lots of chupke chupke romance, many secret dates, few close escapes when they were almost exposed.

"Naira Mishti ne kaha tum karwa chauth ka vrat rakh rahi ho (pause).Naira mein mazak kar raha tha, yeh sab karne ki koyi zarorat nahi hai", said Karthik over the phone
"Tum toh yehi kahoge abhi ke liye aur baad mein, mujhe chidaoge, Naira tum kitna khati ho, am sure tum ek din bhi bhooki nahi reh sakti", she mimicked him, irritated
"Main ne yeh kab kaha, mein ne kaha hum dono ek bhi din bhoke nahi reh sakte", he reminded
"I also get included in we", she argued
"Okay agar tum vrat rakhna chati ho I won't stop you. Just make sure you take care of yourself, if you think you can't do it break your fast", Karthik spoke, not wanting to argue with her.
"Haan ab jao, kuch kha lo iss se phele waqt nikal jaye. And remember I love you", Karthik said.
"I love you too", Naira replied before cutting the line.

"Mami mujhe yakeen nahi ho raha hai, ke humari Naira vrat rakh rahi hai", Gayu spoke while all the ladies sat around the table eating sargi
"Haan mujhe bhi, itne saal se mein kehti ayi hun isse, ke yeh hai ke kabhi mani hi nahi, iss saal pata nahi kya ho gaya ke khud hi rakh liya", added bhabhima
"Aap log bhi ne, jab rakhti hun toh problem jab vrat nahi rakhti tab bhi problem", Naira pouted
"Aap sab meri pyaari si bachi ko tang karna bandh kejiye", spoke Akshara
"Naira beta tum kaho, first time vrat rakhi rahi ho ache se khao varana beech mein bhook lagegi", spoke Akshara while she fed Naira some kheer.

"Kya hua Kittu aaj badi jaldi uth gaye", asked Dadi
"Tum ne bhi karwa chauth ka vrat rakha hai kya", Suvarna added teasingly
"Main kyun rakhunga, mein toh bas yaha (pause) breakfast ke liye aiya tha", Karthik answered
"Itni jaldi breakfast", asked Dadi
"kal raat ko dinner skip kiya tha, toh aaj jaldi bhook lag gayi aur itni achi smell bhi arahi thi, toh chala aiya", Karthik lied
"Acha phir chalo kuch kha lo", said Dadi motioning him to sit down on the chair.

"Kya hua Naira beta", asked choti dadi knocking on the washroom door as she heard throwing up from the other side
"Kuch nahi choti dadi", Naira answered coming out
"tabiyat toh thik hai beta", asked choti dadi caressing her hair
"Haan", she replied and before the conversation could continue further Karishma called for devyani so she left.
"I think Mumma ne kuch zyada hi khila diya", Naira said to herself while sitting on the bed.

The Singhanias, Maheshwari's, Aggarwals were all gathered at Goenka Villa to celebrate Karwa Chauth. They ladies who had kept the fast were standing in line on the terrace. Respective husbands in front of the married woman, Gayu with her fiance Vivan and Naira was alone, well not exactly, Karthik was near by, just not right next to her like the other men were near their wives/fiance.
Naira did the puja from a distance and then lifted up a glass and showed Karthik, indicating to come and somehow come and make her drink it. Karthik signed for her to drink it herself as they were many people around. Naira gave him an angry look and kept the glass down
"Itna ghussa kyun ho Sherni. Paani kyun nahi piya", messaged Karthik
"Ghussa nahi karu toh kya karun, mein yaha subha se bhooki hoon aur tum ho ke mera vrat bhi nahi tod sakte.", she messaged back adding an angry emoji at the end.
"Tum chati ho ke mein sab ke samne tumhara fast break karun toh mujhe koyi problem nahi hai. Lekin kya tum yeh chati ho ke humare rishte ke barien mein sab ko aise achanak se pata chale. Toh okay, am coming", Karthik messaged and Naira saw Karthik taking small steps towards her.
Naira was about to message for Karthik not to come, but she started feeling a bit dizzy, Karthik didn't notice as Mishti can with some gulab jamun
"Bff yeh taaji ne aap ke liye diya", she said handing him the small bowl
"Mishti mein baad mein khalunga", he said
"Aap ne bhi kya Naira di ke liye vrat rakha, main ne dekha aap bahar kuch nahi kha rahe the", asked Mishti
"Naira", they heard Akshara scream and saw Naira fall towards the ground, Karthik caught her quick, before she collapsed completely.
"Naira kya hua utho", said Karthik lightly tapping her cheeks
"Bff Di natak kar rahi hogi, so that aap unka fast tod sako", Mishti told him
"Naira please ankhe kholo, mein yehi hun, an toh vrat todo", he whispered into her ears, pressing the glass of water in his hands to her lips but she didn't drink.
"Naira please utho", he said shaking her, but there was no response.
"Karthik beta, sprinkle some water on her face", Akshara suggested. Karthik took some water in his hand from the glass and lightly sprinkled it on her face, he repeated the same a couple of times, at last he saw her eyes moving and then she slowly opened it, he lifted her head a bit up and made her drink the water and help her stand up.
"Princess tum thik ho", asked Naitik
"Haan papa", answered Naira, giving her father an assuring side hug.
Many asked her if she was fine and she replied the same.
"Chaliye, dinner ready hai", Suvarna called out after a while. Everyone left the terrace.
"Karthik kya hua ghussa ho", Naira said stopping him from leaving
"Tumhe kya farq padta hai Naira, agar meri opinion ki inti care karti toh phele hi apna vrat tod deti, mein ne tum se kaha tha agar tum se nahi hota toh chod do, lekin tum ho ek number ki ziddi, you know how I felt when I saw you fainting", Karthik spoke in an angry yet soft but firm tone.
"Am sorry", she apologized cutely holding her ears but Karthik made an angry face
"Tumhare gaal itne phule huye kyun hai, isme gulab jamun hai, rasgulle hai, ya phir rasmilai", she asked
"In mein se kuch nahi ho sakta hai di, Bff ne aap ke liye fast jo rakha hai", said Mishti
"Tum ne bhi rakha", asked Naira
"Agar tum ne rakha hai, mujhe bhi rakhna hoga tumhari long life ke liye, tumhara bina ji kar kya karunga", he replied.
"Toh vrat todne ka irada nahi hai", she asked
"Purra irada hai, tum hi ho ke nahi tod rahi", Karthik pouted. Naira giggled at his cuteness and fed him some sweets
"Aww, so sweet ab chaliye, mein yaha aap dono ko bulane ayi thi, iss se phele ke sab ko doubt ho, chaliye", said Mishti.
Naira walked behind Mishti, but Karthik pulled her back, making her crash into his arms.
"Never do this again Naira, never, you don't know what I went through when I saw you falling down, I died thousand deaths in that single second. Don't ever do that to me again", he whispered in her ears while gripping her in a bone crushing hug.

Note: Here Naitik never went in coma, Maheshwari and Singhania families started keeping KC after Jasmeet and Karishma joined the families and Dadi is always the religious kind who keeps all types of vrat's, though she is not as mauhrat conscious as she is in the show.
