Naira walked in to the dance academy, with Karthik by her side. Everyone was surprised to see her, the students, the instructors. Even Naksh, Kirti, Gayu, Mishti who had dropped in few minutes ago, as they were passing by so had thought of checking how things are going in the academy and saw Kaira walking in, were happily shocked. Kaira went to Naira's room. Kirti, Naksh, Gayu, Mishti, followed as well.

"Naira am sorry", Kirti was the first one to speak as she entered in followed by the rest.

"You were right, am Karthik's sister, I should have stood up for him. I know how much you love him, I know how much he loves you and I know how much he needs you, we all know but we still asked you to move on. It was wrong", Kirti continued

"Kirti is right Naira, we are sorry, we really are. I just didn't want my baby sister to going through all that pain", added Naksh

"Naira we love you, we got a bit selfish regarding your happiness. I know we made a mistake, we forgot your happiness lies in Karthik", Gayu said.

"Naira di, sorry", Mishti added even though she hadn't done anything wrong.

Naira stood silent for some time.

"Naira maaf kardo inhe, inho ne jo bhi kaha tumhare liye kaha, they wanted to see you happy. Don't get mad at them for loving you.", Karthik spoke up, shocking everyone but Naira in the room.

"Karthik/bff", the other's called out surprised, confused. Naira realized that they now knew Karthik's truth.

"I am going to call mom dad, they are going to be so happy", said Kirti as she pulled out her phone

"Naira di, aap bahut excited nahi lag rahi", said Mishti

"Haan Naira mujhe lagga tum ro ro kar Karthik ko gala lagaye gi", added Gayu

"Lekin tum toh aise behave kar rahi hai jaise tumhe pehle se pata tha ke Karthik", Naksh is cut off by Karthik

"Haan, mujhe phele se pata tha", Naira says

"Aur tum dono ne humein inform Nahi kiya", asked Naksh a bit hurt

"I don't think tum dono ne Goenka house mein bhi inform kiya", spoke Kirti and Kaira nodded their heads negatively

"Magar bff aap sab se jhut kyun bol rahe hai, mujh se bhi saach chupiya", said Mishti

"Haan Naira bata, itni bari baath tum ne hum se kyun chupayi", asked Gayu

"Mein bataunga, but phele promise karna hoga me yeh baath iss kamre se bahar nahi ayegi", said Karthik.

Everyone promises and Karthik tells everyone the truth of their accident. That what happened was no accident, but preplanned, but they have no idea who is the master mind/s and what is/was their goal. The other's were super shocked knowing everything. They keep on thinking who could the person behind the attack be.

"Di bff aap dono ko hospital kaun le aiya tha. Hum sab ke anne se pehle aap dono already admitted the and Goenka family reached a couple of minutes after us.", asked Mishti

"Mishti woh toh kissi passerby ne help ki hogi", said Gayu

"But jiss road par humara accident hua it is very deserted and usually very empty and I remember Naira telling me that our situation could have been worst but the doctor's said we were admitted on time. But how", asked Karthik

"CCTV footage, am sure we would get to see who admitted us", Naira suggested and everyone agreed.

After a lot of pleading and using a bit of help from a few friends. They were able to access the security room.

The security man ran that day's video, it played for a while, the youngsters saw Kaira being wheeled in on the stretchers, but there was no one near by.

They asked the authorities for information and got to know that an ambulance had been called and no one had actually admitted them.

"Can we know the number who called the ambulance", asked Karthik and after a bit of persuading, he finally succeeded.

"But if an ambulance was called then who informed us about your accident, kyun ke humein hospital se phone aiya tha Aur uss insan ne kaha ke uss ne Karthik Naira ko admit karwaya", said Gayu recollecting.

"Dekho iss video ko jab Karthik Aur Naira ko andar le jaiya ja raha hai toh time 11:00 am tha aur humein call around 4:00 pm ko aiya, humein inform karne mein uss insan ko char ghante kyun lag gaye", said Kirti pointing out at the footage.

"Kya hum 3:50 pm thak video forward kar sakte hai", requested Naksh

After 15 minutes of the video playing. Karthik screamed to stop the video.

"Yehi wohi truck driver hai, jiss truck se humara accident hua tha aur jiss ne mujh par hamla kiya tha", said Karthik pointing at the man on the screen.

"What", the rest screamed in union purely shocked.

"Bhaiya please rewind the video back to eleven in the morning", Naira requested tarhe security.

"Hum dekhna hoga in char ghanton ke beech kya hua.", said Naira.

There were 24 small screens, each with different parts of the hospital being shown, so the six of them decided that each would may attention to four screens so that are close together so that they wouldn't miss anything important.

"Woh Dekho", Naira called out after a while pointing out at the screen she was looking at, Naira was being taken into the room and the truck driver followed, surprisingly the doctor let him in, without asking any questions, though there was no audio to the CCTV, you could make out no conversation had taken place because there was no lip movement.

Everyone eyes was now focused on the camera Naira pointed out. They watched for a while in fast forward and than put it normal speed once they saw the truck driver come out of the room with a bundle in his hand. Then Kaira noticed something in the bundle, there was a little feet sticking out at the end.

"Bhai woh mera bacha hai", said Naira pointing at the bundle

"Mera princess zinda hai", Karthik whispered to himself.

Suhasini Goenka was happily gathering all the family jewellery, she had saved up since years for her kittu's wife, so that she could give it to the jewellers for a good polishing, before giving, only grand daughter in law Naira.

"Yeh tum kya kar rahi ho Suhasini, yeh khandani zewar bahar kyun nikale tum ne aur Manish ne mujh se kaha ke tum ne Suvarna me bhi kuch gehne mangwae", asked Satish Goenka to his wife.

"Polish karne ke liye de rahi hu, dekhiye ne kitni dhul jam gayi hai, aisa thodi na denge hum Naira ko yeh zewar", Dadi replied back to dadu

"Aur yeh kiss ne kaha ke polish karne ke baad bhi tum de sakti ho, yeh zewar mere pote ki biwi ke liye tha, aur Suvarna se jo tum le kar ayi ho, woh bhi uske bete ki patni ke liye hai", dadu spoke with harshness

"Aap bhul rahe hai kya, Naira Karthik ki hone wali patni hai, aur Karthik hi aap ka pota aur Suvarna ka beta hai, aur Naira uska pyaar.", reminded Dadi

"Apko iss shadi se koyi etraz hai kya", she asked her husband.

"Mein kuch nahi bhula Suhasini, lekin lagta hai le tum bhul gayi ho. Ya phir jaan ke bhi anjan ban rahi ho. Mein ne kaha mera pota, Manish Suvarna ka beta, woh lawaris nahi jisse tum raste se utha kar le ayi", Satish spoke harshly

"Toh sunne do waise bhi sach hi hai, Karthik iss ghar ka beta nahi hai. Iss ghar se uska khoon ka rishta nahi hai, tum usse kahi se utha kar le ayi aur sab se yeh kaha ke woh Suvarna Manish ka beta hai", Dadu said sternly

"Haan mein le aye thi, lekin mein ne kuch nahi kaha tha, shayad aap bhul gaye, Suvarna delivery ke baad behosh huyi thi, jab uss ne Karthik ki rone ki awz sunni woh jagh gayi aur Karthik bhi Suvarna ki godh mein aate hi chup ho gaya. Aur mere kuch kehene se phele Suvarna ne kaha tha, dekhiye ne maaji, mere pass atte hi mera bacha chup ho gaya, mumma ka ladla hai mera beta, aur haan khoon ka rishta nahi hai uska humare saath, lekin dil ka rishta hai aur woh bhi bahut gehra.", Dadi spoke back

"Aur haan agar Karthik ka saach samne aiya toh apka bhi ayega. Jo apne kiya woh bhi sab ke samne ayega", Suhasini added in a firm tone.

"Naira, am so happy, am so happy, am so happy", Karthik chanted as he spun Naira while she sat on the office chair.

"Karthik stop, mujhe chakkar arahe hai", Naira screamed and Karthik held the chair tight so it wouldn't move

"Chakkar, haw, matlab bua Dadi saach keh rahi thi, good news hai", Karthik joked earning a punch from Naira

"Ohh Sherni itni zor se kyun marra mein toh sirf mazak kar raha tha", Karthik spoke clutching his stomach on the place where Naira had hit.

"Zyada natak mat karo tum, warna ek aur marungi", Naira spoke in her Sherni avatar

"Tum itni zalam ho gayi ho, mein Akshara aunty se tumhari complaint karunga, woh tum se zyada mujh se pyaar karti hai", Karthik pouted making Naira laugh.

"Kissi baath par meri princess itni has rahi hai", asked Naitik as he entered into Kaira's cabin at SD, along with Akshara

"Dekhiye ne Akshara aunty yeh humesha mujhe marti pitti rehti hai", complained Karthik approaching Akshara

"Naira yeh kya hai, kyun Karthik ko pareshan kar rahi ho", Akshara scolded

"Papa dekhiye ne Karthik meri shikiyat mumma se kar raha hai, aap usse kuch kehiye", Naira told her father

"Naitik, khabardar aap kuch nahi kehenge Karthik ko, agar kehna hai apni beti ko kehiye.", said Akshara

"Aur Naira tum iss bechare ko kyun marti ho", asked Akshara sternly

"Kyunke woh issi liyak hai apko pata hai woh humesha mujhe tang karta hai, aur woh kuch karta hai tab hi mein kuch karti hun", Naira argued

The two continued arguing and finally Akshara Naitik got them to stop.

"Hey bhagwan kitna ladte hai yeh dono", exclaimed Akshara.

The Goenkas came with the pandit to Singhania Sadan to match the kundali and get the muhrat for the wedding and all the pre functions.

"The kundali's match perfectly", the pandit announced and gave some muhrat's with in the month itself.

Everyone congratulated Kaira.

"Kya hua", Suhasini asked her husband

"Tumhe pata hai, humare khandan mein bina kundali milaye shaadi nahi hoti", Satish asked

"Toh hum ne milayi toh hai, Kittu aur Naira ki kundali", Dadi replied

"Kaunsi kundali tum ne milayi Naira ke saath. To make a horoscope you need date and time of birth, you picked up that boy from somewhere, so how can you know his date and time of birth.", dadu asked

"I thought you said Karthik isn't a part of your family this morning, so you should not have a problem if the horoscopes match or not in his wedding", Suhasini answered back.

Naira was standing in the back yard, feeling the cool night breeze hit her, when she felt a pair of hand snake around her and weight resting on her shoulder, she smiled slightly knowing who it was. Her Karthik. She felt his lips brush on her neckline, making her smile grow.

"I love you", he whispered huskily in her ears.

"I love you too", she answered in almost whisper.

"Naira, I can't tell you how happy I am", he said turning her around so she was facing him, then enclosed her in his arm cage.

"You don't need to, because am equally happy", Naira spoke resting her head on his chest.

"And this happiness will stay forever now", Karthik spoke

"Tumhe kaise pata, mumma kehti hai khushi ho ya gham humesha ke liye nahi rehte", Naira said.

"bahut jald tum jo meri zindagi mein permanently anne wali ho, aur tum hi toh ho meri khushi aur mein tumhe kabhi khud se dur janne nahi dunga", Karthik told her

"Kaira promise", asked Naira looking into his eyes.

"Kaira promise", spoke Karthik, kissing her temple.

Part 12

Time passed it was Kaira's engagement today, both families were very happy and Kaira were on top of the world.

Naira was in her room being dolled up by her mother and cousins.

"Kitni pyaari lag rahi hai meri beti", said Akshara putting Kala teeka behind her ears.

"Sacchi bua, itni khubsurat lag rahi hai tu Naira", commented ananya

"Haan Naira aaj toh Karthik ki nazrien tujh se hategi hi nahi", said Gayu

"Iss mein naya kya hai, waise bhi Karthik ki nazrien kabhi bhi Naira se hati nahi", Rose teased

"Woh toh hai bhabhi", agreed Ananya and Gayu

The three continued to tease Naira making her blush.

"Acha bas karo meri beti ko taang karna", said Akshara

"Kyun Bua, mere aur Rose ke time iss ne humari kitni taang khichayi ki thi. Tab aap ne isse kuch nahi kaha", complained Ananya.

"Haan Mami this is so unfair", pouted Rose.

"Taaiji, Tauji apko bula rahe hai, unhe koyi cheez nahi mil rahi hai", Mishti announced entering the room.

"Kya baath hai mumma, shaddi ke itne saal baad bhi Aap ki bina papa ka koyi kaam nahi hota.", teased Naira

"Acha mein yaha sab ko rok rahi hun tumhari taang kheechne se Aur tum toh mujhe hi chidda rahi ho shaitan", Akshara spoke pulling Naira's ears.

"ow mumma chodo dard ho raha hai, engagement mein I won't look nice with a red ear", Naira said cutely making Akshara laugh and leave her ears.

The engagement commenced without any problems and Kaira were now engaged to one another. The rest of the guest left while the Maheshwaris, Goenkas and Aggarwals stayed back for the mahabhoj.

Karthik was standing in a corner, admiring the families while they chit chatted, being thankful that the families had such a good bond, when suddenly he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist from the back. He smiled inwardly knowing that it could be.

"Kya kar rahi hi ho koyi dekh le ga", said Karthik like a girl scared that her family would see her romancing with her boyfriend.

"Koyi kuch bhi dekhe, mujhe usse kya. Mujhe toh tumhare saath romance karne se matlab hai", said Naira playing along.

After a while they both started laughing.

"I love you so much Naira", Karthik whispered into her ears followed by a soft kiss on her earlobe.

"I love you too Karthik", she answered back, pulling his shirt in her fist as he continued to place kisses on her neck.

"I am sorry, I am so sorry", a voice screamed distracting the couple, the turned to see Kirti there standing with her eyes covered by her hands.

"I am sorry for interrupting", Kirti said her eyes still closed and ran from their suppressing a laugh.

"Gosh Karthik couldn't you not get romantic here, where our whole family is, Kirti di is so going to tell everyone about this and they are going to pull our leg like there is no tomorrow", she said pushing Karthik away from her.

"As far as I remember it was you who said that you didn't care who saw and just wanted to romance with me", Karthik reminded in a teasing way.

"mendak", she called him the way she did when she was irritated with him.

Karthik looked down placing a finger on his lips, indicating that he would remain silent now, he looked up at Naira's face with innocent puppy eyes that had a glint of naughtiness, Naira couldn't help but giggle a bit at his cute posture, but she decides to tease him a bit so she looks the other way. Karthik walks up to her and starts circling around her trying to apologize to her and Naira pretends to be angry. Since they are near the dining table area in Singhania Sadan which is situated on top of a couple stairs and they are right at corner behind the pillar. Karthik doesn't notice when she step extra back and ends up falling those two stair.

"Ow", Karthik slightly scream whispered holding his leg and Naira immediately rushed to him.

"Karthik am so sorry", she said running up to him.

"So your not angry then", Karthik said with a smirk

"You were acting to be injured. How horrible", Naira said and then slapped his arm

"Hey, as if you were really angry. You were the one who faked first", Karthik spoke rubbing his arm that Naira had hit.

"Well I didn't fake getting hurt and make you guilty about it. You know what it did to me when I saw you like that screaming holding your foot", she said angrily, this time with real anger.

"Am sorry, I didn't know you would get so worked up in a couple of seconds. I really didn't mean to make you feel guilty or anything", he apologized genuinely

"I may have over reacted am sorry. It is just that I can't see you hurt or in pain", she said

"Neither can I", he whispered as he took her into his arms.

"Akshara, kya hua, app thik toh hai, aise chakr kyun agaye apko", asked Naitik concerned as he slowly made Akshara sit on the bed.

"Kuch nahi hua hai, bas itne sare kaam hai, Toh..", Akshara spoke

"Toh issiliye aap khud sarra kaam kar ke apni tabiyat kharab kar rahi hai. Apne soch a agar princess ko pata chalega tab usse kitna burra lagegga", said Naitik

"Mujhe kiss baath ka burra lagge ga papa", asked Naira entering

"Humein chod ke janne ka tumhe burra laggega", Akshara answered

"Jhoot mat boliye mumma, aap iss barien mein baath nahi kar rahi thi, maine ache se sunna papa ne kaha, ke agar mujhe pata chala toh burra lagge ga, magar mujhe phele se hi pata hai ke meri shaadi ho rahi hai iss ek hafte mein, so uski baath toh nahi kar rahe the aap, ab saach boliye", said Naira

"Aap ki beti hai Akshara kuch nahi chupta hai usse", Naitik told his wife

"Kuch nahi hua hai princess, bas shaadi ki functions ki tiyarian mein itni busy hogayi ke unho ne khud ki tabiyat kharab go gayi", Naitik answered

"Mumma yeh kya baath huyi, apko kya lagta agar functions mein sab tayariyan ache se huyi, lekkin Meri mumma ki tabiyat kahrab hogi mujhe acha lagega, bilkul bhi nahi, please Mumma apni sehat ka dhyaan rakhiye, ab aap koyi kaam nahi karegi, sirf aram karegi.", Naira spoke sitting down near Akshara

"Beta bahut kaam hai, woh purra hojaye phir aram kar lungi", said Akshara

"Akshara apne sunna nahi, meri princess ne kya kaha, aur agar apne humari baath nahi maani Toh jab kal sangeet hoga, uss waqt aap room mein baith ke aram kar lena." said Naitik

"Haan Mumma, ab choice apki, abhi aram kariye, ya phir jab sangeet ka function chal raha ho tab", Naira said.

"Thik hai aap dono jeete mein haari, abhi kar lungi mein, haan Lekin kal mein apni beti ki sangeet mein khub nachungi aur koyi mujhe nahi rokega.", spoke Akshara

Next Day, Sangeet Function

The Singhanias arrived at Goenka Villa, since the function was supposed to take place there. Karthik's eyes searched for Naira but couldn't find her anywhere. He was impatient to see her the previous functions, like to tilak and engagement, he had managed to sneak and meet his love but today he hadn't been able to.

"Jijaji kisse dhundh rahe aap", asked Gayu in a teasing tone seeing Karthik's behavior

"Meri nazrien humesha ek hi insan ko dhundti hai sali shaiba, aur woh meri Naira hai", Karthik answered boldly, making everyone smile.

"Chalo ab dekthe hai ke tumhari nazrien, tumhari naira ko penchan paati hai ya nahi.", said Naksh and Karthik gave him a confused look. Naksh pointed out to five girls in ghunghat.

"Ab bataye jijaji isme se Naira kaun hai" said Annanya.

"Koyi bhi nahi", Karthik replied confidently

"Aise kaise keh sakte hai aap bff apne try bhi nahi kiya" asked Mishti

"Bas mujhe pata hai ke inn mein se koyi meri Naira ho hi nahi sakti", answered Karthik.

"Ek minute mein abhi aiya", Karthik said and left the hall, while the other's gave each other, a what is he up to look.

Karthik walked out of the house and looked around, finally he could see his girl sitting in the car clad in a beautiful golden lehenga, her eyes hadn't landed on him yet. He quietly went and opened the door from the other side, Naira was startled with the sudden noise, but smiled as she saw Karthik through the window, she was expecting him to take her inside, instead he himself sat down beside her and locked the door.

"Karthik yeh kar rahe ho, humari sangeet hai, sab andar humara intezzar kar rahe honge", Naira said while blushing as Karthik inched closer.

"Acha aur mere intezaar ka kya. Already aaj tum se function se phele mil nahi payaa, phir tum mere calls aur messages ka jawab nahi de rahi thi, uparse tum andar anne ke liye bhi deeri kar rahi thi. Ab jab tak tum mujhe yeh na batao ke tum ne mujhe itna kyun tadpiya mein tumhe andar janne nahi dunga.", asked Karthik

"Aur haan jitna waqt lena hai jawab dene mein le sakti ho, mujhe koyi problem nahi hai", he said kissing her hand softly.

"Gayu di aur Bhai ka idea tha, woh ghunghat wali ladkiyon ka, unho ne mera phone liya the, taa ke mein tumhe uss game ke barien mein nahi baata saku, woh chate the koyi cheating na ho. Ab bhi mera phone di ke pass hai", answered Naira, while Karthik trailed soft feathery kisses from her palm to her shoulder.

"Dubara aisa matth karna Naira, tumhe nahi pata kitni bechani ho rahi thi", he whispered into her ear and kissed her earlobe.

As Karthik was about to open the door he felt himself being pressed on to the seat by his love.

"Kya kar rahi ho yeh", he asked with a confused smile.

"Tumhare sawal ka jawab mil gaya ab mere sawalon ka kya, hmmm, kyun nahi aye mujh se milne, purra waqt jab mein tiyaar ho rahi thi, khidki ko dekh rahi thi, jab bhi darwaza khulta, sochti ke shayad tum hoge. Kyun nahi ayee", she questioned.

"Koyi ghar se janne hi nahi de raha tha, pata nahi sab bodyguard ban kar mere peche kyun padde the, aur mein ne message kiya tha tumhe iss barien mein, lekin tumhara phone toh Gayu Di ke pass tha toh tum kaise dekhti", Karthik replied as Naira teased him with kisses like he had done.

"Andar chale iss se phele koyi aajaye", said Naira and she and Karthik got out of the car a second later she was swept off her feet and in his arms.

The family smiled and cheered as they saw Karthik walking in with Naira in his arms.

The sangeet was completed, with amazing performance by all and some sweet romantic moments between the soon to be married couple.

Dadi walked into her room, to find her husband fast asleep on the bed, and her grandson kneeling on the ground nearby the bed and pressing his grandfather's feet, like he would do every night. She slowly walked towards the boy and ran a hand through his hair.

"Dadi", Karthik smiled and got up engulfing his grand mother into a hug.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you so much dadi", Karthik said happily in the tight hug

"Kya hua, itna sarra thank you, kyun.", asked Dadi breaking the hug.

"Aaj dadu ne sangeet mein dance kiya, and I know aap ne hi maniya unhe, dadu ka meri sangeet mein aise khul ke hissa lenna bahut baddi baath thi mere liye", Karthik spoke with a smile and tear filled eyes.

"Tum jante ho tumhare dadu tum se bahut pyaar karte hai, bas jatta nahi paate, iss baath ko le kar kabhi mayus nahi hona.", Dadi lied to Karthik and he nodded, though on the inside he was himself unsure whether he believed those words or not.

Naira was asleep, when she twisted in her sleep and felt she was in someone's hold.

"Karthik", she whispered to herself, recognizing the feel, she reached out her hand and switched on the lamp to see that it was indeed her love lying down beside her.

"Karthik, kab aiya, aur mujhe jaggiya kyun nahi. Lekin woh iss waqt aiya kyun, jab video call end hua main ne already usse keh diya tha ke mujhe neend arahi hai, aur sonne wali hun.", Naira thought to herself.

"Karthik, mendak", she called out while tapping him.

"Kya hua Naira sonne do, bahut neend arahi hai", Karthik said sleepily.

"Karthik utho", Naira shook him again and Karthik sat up on the bed.

"Kya hua Naira, ache se neend agayi thi, kyun jagiya", asked Karthik

"Kyun aye tum aur koyi bahana nahi chalega mere same, mujhe sirf saach sunna hai.", Naira said sternly

"Bas dil mein ek bachani se ho rahi hai Aaj kal. Ajeeb said dar lagga rehta hai mann mein", Karthik answered.

"Uffo Karthik, kuch nahi hua hai shaadi ki wajhe se tum nervous ho, mujhe bhi aisi feelings arahi thi phir mumma ne samjhaiya ke jab bhi hum zindagi mein ek important step lete hai nervous ho hi jate hai, humare maan mein bahut sarre sawal ajjate hai, aur woh humare mann ko bechain kar deta hai.", Naira told Karthik, remembering what Akshara had told her and Karthik gave a forced smile.

"Koyi aur baath bhi hai", asked Naira and Karthik lightly nodded his head in a positive response.

"Dadu", Karthik whispered but Naira heard him.

"Kya hua dadu ko Karthik", asked Naira

"Wohi kabhi samajh mein nahi aiya, woh humesha itna durr sure se kyun rehte hai mujh se.", he questioned

"Kabhi mera mann karta hai, ke sarre sawal no mere mann mein hai unhe ja puchun, ke meri galti kya hai, jo woh humesha mujh se naraz se rehte hai", Karthik continued

"Phir ja kar puch lo, kyun sarre sawal apne mann ke andar dabaye huye ho", Naira said

"Bahut neend arahi hai, tumhe bhi arahi hogi so jaate hai", said Karthik and Naira understood that he wanted to avoid further conversation, so they both laid down hugging each other and drifted to sleep.

Naira woke up to find Karthik missing, like always when he stayed the night her room he would leave before anyone could get up, but this time saw that there was a sticky note stuck to the headboard.

"Thank you for always being there for me", the note read. Naira smiled and kissed it.

"Pagal ladka, bina baath ke thank you bol raha hai", Naira said to herself.

It was early afternoon, Karthik was pacing up and down his room.

"Jaise Naira ne kaha mujhe waisa hi karna chaiye, mujh dadu se sidhe ja kar baath kar lena chaiye.", Karthik thought to himself.

"Lekin kya kahunga unse. Hum dono mein kabhi zyada baath huyi hi nahi", Karthik thought after a while getting tensed.

Karthik walked up to the mirror and started practicing lines of how he would talk to his grandfather.

"Kya kar raha hai tu Karthik. Tere apne dadu se hi baath karni hai tujhe. Pata nahi mujh se kyun nahi ho raha.", Karthik spoke to himself.

"Mein Naira ko call...", as he was about to complete his sentence, his phone rang, he smiled seeing Naira's name.

"Naira mein tu...", he started but was cut off as he heard soft sobs coming from the other end.

"Naira kya hua, ro kyun rahi ho, please mujhe batao", he asked in a soft concerned voice.

"Mein bahut akeli hoon Karthik please jao", she said choking on her words.

Karthik was a bit confused, at Naira crying just because she was alone at home, this wasn't like her.

"I will be at Singhania Sadan as soon as possible, I promise", he assured her.

"Please, city care hospital, asakte ho", she asked her voice cracking. Karthik was more sure now that there was something wrong which she wasn't saying.

"I will be there", he answered her, not wanting to question her on the phone, he knew he would get the answers he wanted at the hospital, maybe even the answers to the questions he never knew.

Karthik entered the hospital and asked the receptionist if Naira Singhania, had been admitted or had come with a patient to be admitted. Karthik also told her about Naira's appearance so she would recollect.

"Yes sir, a girl similar to what you described had come in wheeling a middle aged lady on a stretcher. That girl was crying very badly and she was calling the unconscious woman Mumma.", the receptionist informed.

"Could you please check and tell me if there is any patient by the name of Akshara Singhania", asked Karthik

The receptionist gave him a room number and directions, he rushed and found Naira sitting outside the room, he went up to her and hugged her tight, while even she wrapped her arms around him as tightly as she could and sobbed softly into his chest. He light ran his hand through her hair, slowly calming her.

"Naira, Jaan, aunty will be okay, nothing will happen.", he spoke, trying to assure not only her but himself.

"Karthik, mujhe nahi pata mumma ko kya hua, mein kamre mein thi, jab neeche ayi toh dekha mumma behosh the unke haath aur mun par khun tha.", she spoke.

"Tum ne baki sab ko inform kiya", Karthik questioned.

"Mein ne sab ko call karne ki koshish ki, papa aur Bhai, shayad abhi bhi meeting mein hai toh unka phone silent pe hoga aur Dadi, Badi Dadi, Bua Dadi apne kissi saheli ke poti ki godh bharai ke function mein gaye hai, issi liye shayad who bhi nahi utha rahe.", Naira replied

"Naira, tum Sherni ho ne, toh sherni aisa rote thodi na hai, dekho kuch waqt mein sab pahunch jayenge, tumhe unhe bhi sambhalna hoga, tum toh sherni ho, princess ho. Yaad hai ne princess ka kaam sirf taira pehnna nahi hota, uske saath kuch zimmedarian bhi hoti hai", Karthik spoke wiping her tears.

He made a call to Suvarna Manish and told them about the matter, requesting Suvarna to go to function and get the ladies and asking Manish if he could fetch Naitik and Naksh from the meeting as SD and GG were pretty close.

"Naira don't worry, aunty ko kuch nahi hoga am sure she will be fine", spoke Karthik soothing her.

"Karthik agar Mumma ko hospital lete mein ne der kar di toh, Mumma pata nahi kitna waqt se behosh thi, sarri galti meri ha Karthik, mein kyun chali gayi apne kamre mein. Mumma ke saath rehna chaiye tha mujhe.", Naira sobbed continuously blaming herself.

"Shhh", Karthik hushed her up by putting a finger on her lips.

"Tumhari wajhe se kuch nahi hua, sun rahi ho, tum ne kuch bhi nahi kiya", he said cupping her face and looking eye to eye, trying to make her understand and take away the guilt, he pressed his lips on her forehead, then hugged her tight.

Everyone arrived by then and started questioning Kaira, the two broke the hug and informed them that the doctor hadn't said anything yet.

Waiting for half an hour more the doctor finally came out.

"Doctor who is my wife, usse kya hua hai, app kuch bol kyun nahi rahe hai", questioned Naitik

"Mr. Singhania apki wife ki reports agayi hai, she has blood cancer last stage.", informed the doctors everyone was taken aback.

"Ab apki wife ko sirf ek bone marrow transplant bacha sakta hai", said the doctor

"Haan doctor toh aap mera bone marrow le lijiye", offered Naitik and even everyone else agreed that they were all ready to give anything to save Akshara.

Shaurya, Varsha, Naitik, Naira, Naksh, Karthik, Karishma, Naman, Gayu, Suvarna, Manish, Kirti, all conducted their test to see whose bone marrow would match Akshara. The test were conducted and Karthik's bone marrow was matched after some other test and procedures the started with the operation. Those hours felt like years, but everyone sighed a relief, when the do announced the operation was successful, but the patient and the donor would have to be at the hospital until they were healed.

The next morning Singhanias, Maheshwaris and Goenkas are in Akshara's hospital room, Karthik is also there, he was in his ward with Naira sitting by his side but when Naksh gave the news of Akshara coming into consciousness, Karthik requested that he also wanted to come.

"Mrs. Singhania you are absolutely fine now. I must say you have a very lovingly family. At once they were all ready to give the bone marrow, no questions about the procedures or risks.", Akshara smiled

Akshara, saw Karthik in the hospital clothes and realized that he had saved her. She motioned him to come closer and sit by her, Karthik did so.

"You know I have only seen mother giving birth to a child, but first time I saw that a child gave new life to his mother", commented one of the nurses

"Haan bhale hi main ne Karthik ko janam nahi diya, lekin dil se usse apna beta manna hai", responded Akshara with a smile.

"Aap yeh kya keh rahi hai Mrs. Singhania, yeh app hi ka beta hai, reports ka yehi kehna hai", said the doctor.

"Doctor apko kuch galatfemi huyi hai", said Naitik

"I guess I selected "son", option when they asked for relation with the patient so that is why all this confusion", said Karthik.

"No, she is your biological mother and if you have any doubts you may go to any doctor and conduct any test you like", said the doctor and left, sensing the tense atmosphere.

"Mere kittu ka parivar humesha uske samne hi tha", Karthik's Dadi spoke to herself but as the room was dead silent everyone hears what she said and looked towards her. Suhasini realized it was time to tell everyone the truth.

Flashback

Suvarna was at Agarwal House, Kirti and Manish's parents were also there. Suvarna's labour pain had started but it was raining really heavily that night, so no ambulance was coming, and the roads seemed so bad that they also could not drive to the hospital in time, so they decided for a home delivery.

Some hours later Suvarna gave birth to a baby girl. Only Suhasini knew this and was about to announce the birth of a laxmi in the house, but just then her husband came and took the baby.

"Ladka hai ya Ladki", asked Mr. Goenka

"Ji, laxmi hai", dadi replied with a smile to her husband.

Without saying anything, dadu took the child and went. Suvarna's mother who had come back after washing her hands asked Dadi where the child was, even Suvarna's father walked in and asked about the baby, but Dadi had no answer. She left the room and went to the main gate and saw her husband back without the child so she questioned him.

"Ek beti phele se hi hai, itni betiyon ki kya zarorat, waise bhi betiyan bojh hi toh hoti hai", he replied shocking his wife.

"Kahan hai woh", Suhasini questioned sternly.

"Chod aya usse bahar", the most senior Goenka replied emotionlessly.

Dadi searched the place, she heard cries and followed them, she saw a baby placed under the tree, she hurried and picked it up, she saw that the baby wasn't the child which Suvarna delivered, she tried looking for any other child but couldn't find any, though it wasn't raining as heavily now but it still was and the child in her arms seemed like a new born, so Suhasini took the baby inside.

"Jab mein Karthik ke saath Agarwal House ayi, sabko lagga ke Karthik hi Suvarna ka bacha hai. Mein bhi apne pati ke neech harkaton ke barien mein kuch na keh saki aur chup ho gayi", dadi revealed the truth shocking everyone. There was dead silence again.

"Suhasini ji uss din who bacha apke kaha mila", questioned badi Dadi and Karthik's Dadi replied where she found the child.

"Matlab Naira app logon ko beti hai", this statement by badi Dadi shocks everyone even more.

Flashback

Everyone in Singhania Sadan had gone to attend a wedding of long time family friend, only Akshara and bhabhima were at home, since it was her last month, though Naitik hadn't wanted to leave, but Akshara convinced him saying there were two weeks more, but looked like the baby was too eager to come and the labour pain started that night itself. Since traveling was not possible because of the heavy rain, even here bhabhima opted for home delivery but it wasn't successful the baby was born still.

Bhabhima was very sad to see the dead child and wondered how she would tell Akshara when she got up and how would she face the other family members when they get back.

Just then very faint cries were heard, she looked at the child in her arms but he was still but she was sure he heard cries, so she went outside and saw another new born crying badly. She picked up the child considering as a blessing from God and kept the still born child down.

"Mujhe lagga tha ke bahu ne ek marre huye bache ko janam diya aur uss bachi ka koyi nahi, mujhe lagga munna aur bahu ko unka bacha milega aur ek bachi ko apne maa baap. Mujhe nahi pata ke mein munna aur bahu ke bete ko unse durr kar diya", spoke bhabhima.

There was another round of silence

"Karthik, kaha hai", questioned Akshara

"Naira nazar nahi arahi hai", Manish asked

Akshara Naitik, Suvarna Manish looked around the room to see Kaira but couldn't find them, they passed a worried look to one another.

Note : I have no idea about leukemia, bone marrow transplant and all that so that if I have written anything rubbish about the procedures, and have ended up hurting anyone who has gone through or knows someone who has gone through the serious illness, I am really sorry.

Here with a short update.

Part 16

Karthik and Naira are both broken listening to the past. They both went separately to the house they bought at the outskirts of the city (see part 9, if you don't remember the house am talking about). When they reach outside the house they see one another there. They are not surprised as they know they think very much alike. Their eyes lock with one another, what questions are in their own minds they can see in the other's eyes. Their pain, their turmoil everything is the same. Not being able to hold on any longer they wrap their arms around each other and weep silently.

Finally they break apart and walk inside.

"Naira tum thik ho", Karthik finally spoke breaking the silence.

Naira nodded positively

"Sachi", Karthik asked this time Naira nodded negatively as tears rolled down her cheeks again and she placed her head on his chest, she could hear him sob as well.

"Meri khud ke dadu ne mujhe ghar se bahar nikal diya, kya galti thi meri yehi ke mein ek ladki hun, kya ladki bann ke janam lena koyi jurm hai. Agar hai bhi toh iss mein meri kya galti, bhagwanji ne mujhe ladki banna kar behja.", she said in a broken voice.

"Humesha jab dadu Kirti Di ki side lete, chairman ke liye Kirti Di ko chunna and all mein bahut proud hota yeh soch kar ke humare ghar mein ladka ladki mein baidh bahav nahi hota. Lekin mein galat tha, aaj dadu par mera garur toot gaya aaj", he spoke

"Gharwalon ki halath kaisi hogi", the both spoke in realization.

"Unhe bhi aaj hi sachayi ka pata chala. Unn sab ko bhi bahut bada dhaka lagga hoga", said Karthik

"Hum bahut burre hai khud ke dard mein sab ko bhul gaye", said Naira as a single tear fell.

"Karthik abhi chalte hai family ke pass", said Naira confidently wiping her tears.

"Kya bolenge unse, kya chate honge woh, kya woh uss bache ko apne pass rakhna jahenge, jo humesha unke pass tha, ya unke khud ka khoon.", said Karthik

"Woh kya decide karenge, kya woh hum se kuch puchenge hum kya chate hai aur agar puch bhi le hum kya jawab denge", Karthik asked to himself as well as Naira.

"Mein ne purri zindagi mumma papa ko hi apna parents manna kissi aur ko kaise unki jagha dekh sakti hun", said Naira

"Mein mumma papa se bahut pyaar karta hun lekin maa aur dad ki jagha nahi de sakta", spoke Karthik

"Karthik shayad hum kuch zyada hi soch rahe hai humari tarhe unhe bhi abhi abhi sach pata hai. Mumma papa ke liye mein unki beti aur maa dad ke liye tum unke bete.", Naira said and Karthik slowly nodded positively.

"Kya yeh insaf hoga, kuch din mein humari shaadi hogi hum dono Goenka Villa mein rahenge mumma aur papa toh apni beti ko bhi kho denge", spoke Karthik

"Phir kya kare mein Naira Goenka aur tum Karthik Singhania ban jao phir bhi wohi problem. Farak bas itna shaadi ke baad Singhania Sadan mein rahenge aur maa dad se durr ho jayenge.", Naira spoke

Kaira were very confused they didn't want to hurt anyone or be unfair to anybody. Back at Singhania Sadan where everyone was gathered, the atmosphere was equally tensed. For Naitik and Akshara Naira was their child their princess. For Manish and Suvarna Karthik was the apple of their eyes their child. Still they couldn't ignore the truth because Naitik Akshara had always loved Karthik like their own son likewise Manish Suvarna also treated Naira as their daughter since childhood. Just like Kaira were worried what their parents would want. Their parents were also tensed about the decision those two would take.

If the two families were unknown to one another. If the Singhanias had never known Karthik and Goenkas had never known Naira since they were a baby. If Kaira were not in love. If both families never knew one another. It would have been easier but since the families knew each other so well. Karthik had a strong bond with Singhanias, same way Goenkas had a lovely bond with Naira, now when they know this is their own child of course there are a lot of emotions in their heart same for Kaira but that doesn't mean the parent or child they have been with since forever is no one to them or their love for them has lessened. The situation was complicated and there was a storm in everyone's heart.
