A whole year had passed since Akshara's death and here they were, merely an hour away from the most awaited wedding of the year - Karthik and Naira's Shaadi. Naira was all ready and the rest of the family was waiting to welcome Karthik and his family.
As Naira looked at herself in the mirror, something caught her attention - Akshara's photo. Requesting Pungi to give her some time alone, Naira walked across her room and picked up the photo frame. Her fingers traced her mother's smile. As Naira sat on her bed, she remembered the night where she had confessed that she loved Karthik to her mother. No one knew that that would be the last evening Akshara would spend with them.
Akshara had requested the entire family to stay over at the Singhania Sadan after her birthday surprise. That night, everyone had been singing songs and dancing. Soon it was Naira's turn. As she stood up, she glanced at Karthik who was having a hard time trying to be well behaved in front of his in-laws. Karthik knew that if he looked at Naira's eyes, he would be smitten and so he had been looking away.
Naira walks over to her Gayu di and whispered her plan. She then walked towards Akshara and shows a thumbs up to Gayu.

Akshara then announces that Naira and Karthik's engagement would take place soon and that the arrangements will begin from the very next day. The entire family celebrates the good news.
END OF FLASHBACK
Naira's eyes glisten with tears. She looks at the photo and speaks to her mother.
" I really miss you so much Mumma. I know I have not been the best daughter but you were the best mother anyone could get. I must have been blessed to be your daughter. As I take the next step in my life, I just hope I make you proud in everything that I do. I love you!"
She kisses the portrait before placing it back on her bedside table. Though Akshara was no longer present physically, Naira knew her mother's blessing were with her, always.
