What is the point of killing off Akshara's character? Why not just replace Hina Khan?

I agree. I feel the show will become too dull without the character. All the other characters will keep sulking and talking about her the way they depend on her for every single thing.

Though Hina khan was awesome and really no one can deny that but u r right. ...killing akshara is not the solution. May b some other sweet lady can b the replacement. If u ask me, I really like the "di" of Arnav Singh raizada in ipkknd.

May b to be politically correct, the cvs r not going to replace Hina khan with another.

Because the ones suited for d role after hk are all doing major roles in other serials

No one can replace the original actor or actress. Look at other serials who have recanted their leads and they've been unsuccessful. IMO

Hina Khan did an awesome job of the role - no denying that; but to say that she cannot be replaced - well in other serials there has been a similar fan following and the actress got replaced ( the uneducated one) and the replacement has been successful with high TRPs. this is the unfortunate truth- everyone is replaceable. But I think there might be a reason- if Akshara disappears after the accident then there is the possibility of her returning and if not then the CVs could also show a second marriage for Naitik--Bua dadi is still there and she needs to interfere in family life.

It will also be interesting to see how Mishti's mother steps in as the daughter in law of the house.

Hina Di as akshara can never be replaced but akshara as a character is necessary for the show ...so yes I agree dat a replacement is required...

There have been a few successful replacements. The biggest issue is that this show will lose its soul without Akshara.

As far as I know Akshara will die but her body won't be found, maybe she won't actually die, maybe they need time to get a new actress I mean of course it would take time, they don't just need any good actress, they need an actress who they think can be able to take Hina's place. Such an actress who if we see as akshara for few weeks we begin to think that she was always akshara from the past 8 years. But this is just my thought I could be a 100 percent wrong. In fact maybe Hina just wants a long break and they show assumed dead and when Hina wants to join she can be back.
