Can we call characters or use words like
Kutta, kamina, Trashy, Chuhi, Chutiya Ruhi, nalayak, gandagi, tatti character, kichad, etc?
I don't see them restricted?
Sutapasima, I always a assumed this to be "Family" friendly forum... But the way you moderate is quite embarrassing...
Vijay just tagging you so that you are aware that I responded.
Hi Shahsb et al,
We are absolutely a "family friendly" forum, but we also understand that some things are used in jest or to vent. Hence we can't just ban all the normal slangs like kutti, kamini, trashy, chutiya, etc. What we do instead is monitor the use of these words. For example, the post that Debospeaks quoted said "kamini Abhira baby", which we are letting be because jrf2021 didn't replace Abhira with kamini baby. If however, they had used kamini baby then we would have reacted because that amounts to namecalling.
Additionally, we monitor the use of these words for their frequency. For a time, we had banned Chuhi because it became a mocking name for Ruhi and to mock her fanbase as well. Now that we've seen the usage reduce, we've removed it from the list. Should it or another name become more commonplace and used for mocking, then we will revisit banning.
I want to be clear that the point of us here is to moderate the forum, not dictate how you should speak or write. It's why we adjust our namecalling list or rules as the forum changes. We want to ensure that members can freely write and express themselves, but also that it isn't abusing real people (forum members, celebs, etc.) or mocking people for their opinions. When it gets out of hand, then we clamp down on it and when we think we can allow it again we lift the ban to test the waters.
I hope I've made myself clear.
FYI - if you tag us in a post, typically the links will work even if a post is moved around. Even links typically work to a direct post if the post is moved around. It's like a 80% chance that it works now. Vijay has worked on that.
