Honestly, both Naitik and Akshara are acting naive according to me. And for Akshara, well I am hardly able to connect with her these days.
Let's start with Naitik first. A few posts here said that Naitik is being selfish; he's being insensitive. But in my POV he's not, he's only trying to provide his family a better life. (
Speaking from Naitik's POV. I personally love India and believe that life is good here). His heart is very much in the right place and his intentions are (no doubt) good. His only motive behind migrating abroad along with his family is to see them safe and secure. He wants to protect them from all vulnerabilities. His family's welfare, their well-being are his prime concerns right now. He wants to provide them a comfortable life, wants his elders to spend their remaining days in peace and his wife and his child to enjoy all luxuries and facilities which might not be available in India.
Though yes, inspite of his right intentions, what he's expecting from the Singhanias is somewhere quirky. The various difficulties he witnessed his family had to undergo, are failing him to understand how painful it would be for his family to abandon the homeland which gives them a sense of belonging; which generates in them a feeling of roots. SS links them to their ancestors. So how can they leave behind their home, their people, their Udaipur and their motherland and start life afresh in an alien land?! Naitik surely needs to realise that all this is not as easy as he is perceiving them to be. But again I would say, he wants to see his family happy. He loves them dearly.
Now, coming to Akshara. I feel she has always had different (read stringent) rules for Naitik. All she knows is to give him cold/silent treatment to show her displeasure. On so many occasions, she has been harsh in tackling him. She understands everybody's POVs and dreams but for Naitik. Wasn't she calm and patient in tackling Rashmi? Didn't she try to understand Shaurya's POV? Hasn't she always been too soft with Gayatri inspite of her tantrums and rude behaviour? Wasn't she very easy on BM during the 'giving-away Duggu to Nandini' track? Then why does Akshara become un-understanding when it comes to Naitik? Why does she misunderstand him most of the times?
Instead of making him realise the shortcomings and limitations of his decision, she's giving him silent treatment (especially when she knows that his family's happiness and safety is all Naitik is concerned about). I know it'll take time but I am sure Naitik will understand her and other people's perspectives through her but for that Akshara has to talk it out with him. Displaying passive anger will only worsen the situation.
Moreover, she needs to realise that Naitik needs her now. It must have been a very difficult decision for him as well. He may not say it but Akshara needs to sense it; she's his god damn wife. It's unfortunate that she always abandons the very person who stands by her through thick and thin when he needs her the most. Akshara is definitely a wonderful wife but she still has to go a long way to match up with Naitik, the dream husband.
