All I heard was my name being called under the heavy rain… Akshara.. I swiftly turned around knowing just who called me… Natik I exclaimed.. what took you so long you know I've been waiting here for the part 10 mins in this rain… Natik gave me a wired look…

A: Akshara im sorry but I was stuck in traffic…but that's not important I need to tell you something that's very urgent and important…

I panicked at the urgency in his voice.. kya hua Natik is everything alright….he takes a few step closer to me. Was that even possible when we were already standing so close together… I love you were the first words that escaped his mouth as he reduces the distance between us… I know that stupid and I love you too Natik.

A: rolls his eyes will u let me finish… Akshara for two minutes just shut up ok this is very hard for me and you're making it worse by increasing my nervousness…

Fine… bolo….he takes a deep breath and starts again… I love you Akshara not because you love me.. I love you because of the person who you are. The person you always try to be. I love you for all the simple moment you have made special for me and us.. I love you for all the emotions and actions you bring in my life.. even though I always complain.. I love you for making me realize that there is more to life then just work.. There are other feelings and emotions that make life lively and worth living.. and just because of you I am where I am today.. if you never came in my life I don't know where I would be today.. hell I don't even want to think of that… I never do share my feelings with anyone and I know you always encourage that I should… but I only found out the importance of communication after you entered my life….. I love the way you look at me with your crystal clear eyes.. because I can see my self in them and I can see that you are genuinely happy when your with me because your eyes express that.. I love your innocent smile because that can brighten up any day and bring a smile on anyone's face.. I love you because of these reasons and many more but if I say all those we will be here for a lifetime.. and I also know you feel the same for me.. That is why I am finally asking you this will you accept me as your soul mate for life.. so that I can continue adding memories and things to this list of mine of why I love you so much… will you Akshara Mahehswari take my hand in marriage.. will you be there for us when we become parents, will you be there for us when we both become old and cranky and still fight like we do today.. Will you marry me Akshara?... At that moment everything seemed to freeze in time it was only me and Natik even the rain had slowed down as if to listen to Natik pour out his heart in front of me.. I always did wait for this moment and always imagined how it would be like but never did I know that this is how beautiful everything will feel after this moment.. *span span* Natik spanned his fingers.. hello I know you like to analyze everything from every angle but seriously my knees are killing now so can you please answer.. shut up Natik your running the moment and yes I guess I'll marry you I mean I have no other choice either right.. the smile that was proudly resting on Natik face was wiped off as soon as I say the last part of my sentence.. and with a jolt he got up.. KYA.. what do you mean no choice I mean.. tum.. what.. Before he could continue I just crashed in his arms and hugged him if my life depended on it.. and that was enough to let him know that I was just joking and that he was the one and only I would ever think, dream and wish to get married to..

So what were you saying before Natik that I increase your nervousness and I talk a lot.. how dare you say that.. I exclaimed as we started to head towards our cars… and you also said that were going to get old and cranky together.. well let me tell you something.. you will get old not me I will be forever young and beamed my sweet smile at him which he just smiled back and said you will never change….

Present day

So that was how my oh so overly non dramatic soul mate proposed to me… I guess miracles do happen.. and I guess it was worth the wait.. what do you say?

Both Natik and Akshara get married and lived happily ever after but one thing never changed there constant bickering and fighting…
