This is the one serial, where the producers have kept their word re not letting any bitchiness or most improbable, humbug kind of plots flung on to the viewers when in need of TRPS. The producer deserves the credit for maintaining over all decency of the plot and focusing on the natural or incidental difficulties and intricacies in development of most important relationship of Man kind- Marriage. Although it has lost some of that magical touch of pre marriage courtship days and some relations are too sugary or little inconsistent in their depiction, the central point i.e. the growth and development of a beautiful spousal relationship is being handled believably and with honesty for most of the time. (But for that overstretched separation over an illogical, ill placed accusation about Akshara's connivance and imagined contrivance re Nandini-Mohit along with somewhat foolishly handled closure. Though closure itself was redeemed because of the final honesty. And in betw'n we had been treated with a beautiful but wasted scene of Maha Shivratri with a flash of original brilliance. )

The producer's restraint, in avoiding the loupe hole of resorting to 'appalling' and ultimately torturous, formulaic 'shock treatment' kind of tracks-so rampant in other soaps of indefinite tenure, is all the more commendable in view of this serial's roller coaster ride in terms of TRPS and standing. And while objectively wishing that some of the outdated concepts would have been discarded, the makers are sincerely thanked for an over all decent and cute serial.👏👏

So very true!

All they show are real-life issues, without any divorces, evil bahus / bhabhis / saas coming into the picture.

Even Mohit's mom is a real-life character - so many saas are like that only. Really appreciate the serial for this decency and adherence to reality.

This is the only serial that I am currently watching. A few fleeting catches of other prime time and apparently higher rated soaps invariably leaves me cold- nincompoopery at its 'competitive' best-can not last more then 10 minutes. That convince me that, in spite of lose of apex standing, this serial must have generated genuinely loyal viewership in comparison to other's 'steroid' induced spurt in TRPs (or even manipulated?!?). They are bound to fall miserably when the general disgust sets in. Here the leads are sincere and adorable; the support cast is competitive and tracks topical. But some departments could do with improvements. Some new addition like Sneha could have been better etched and her gullibility defined with better believability (mind you- the track is plausible and topical too). The portrayals of two mothers remain jarring and Mohit's spontaneous humour is missed. Three characters I wish to see more relevantly are Dadi, Vishambar and Bhabhima (but not over used). On a side note, they can come up with some fresh and better selected songs in stead of that over used- 'Jadu ye kya kar diya…' But I enjoy the judiciously used back ground score of Flute (the one played when some tender moments of a relationship is passing).

as for the serial.. no matter how much we critisize it.. at the end of the day.. all we do is switch on the t.v. at 930..n watch it..
overall the serial is very nyc.. but sum areas are there which need a little more attention.. oderwise.. i hav always believed that beauty is simplicity.. n yeh rishta is really awesum..
