GEC Watch: Zee jumps to No. 2 spot

Data for Week 28 from TAM Media Research puts Zee at the No. 2 spot, with a 20 per cent share (C&S, 4+, HSM). STAR Plus is still reigning supreme, although its share has dropped considerably over the last few weeks. From 27 per cent in Week 27, STAR Plus currently holds 25 per cent share of the overall GEC pie. The channel has garnered 342 GRPs.

Zee's relative share has risen from 17 per cent in Week 27 to 20 per cent in Week 28. It has added 37 GRPs in the latest week. Colors has slipped to the No. 3 spot with a 19 per cent relative share. The channel is just 10 GRPs behind Zee this week.
Pavitra Rishta on Zee is the most watched programme on Hindi GECs, garnering a TVR of 6.5. Pratigya on STAR Plus follows with a TVR of 5.2. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (STAR Plus) is at No. 3 and has recorded a TVR of 5.1.
