GEC Watch: STAR Plus slips; Colors and Zee gain

STAR Plus' GRPs have fallen in Week 27. From 411 GRPs in Week 26, the GRPs have fallen to 362 in the latest week. From a share of 30 per cent last week, the channel's relative share has reduced to 27 per cent. Most of its prime time shows, too, have witnessed a slight drop in viewership.

Sony, which is at No. 4, has maintained its share in Week 27 at 11 per cent. SAB has managed to increase its share to 8 per cent. Its new show, Papad Pol, has debuted with a TVR of 1.9. Imagine's share has reduced to 6 per cent in the latest week.
STAR One's share has risen from 3 per cent in Week 26 to 4 per cent in Week 27. STAR Utsav, DD1 and Sahara One have garnered 2 per cent share each.
Though Bidayi on STAR Plus is still the most watched programme on Hindi GECs, its viewership has declined. In Week 27, Bidayi has recorded a TVR of 5.9, while in Week 26, the TVR stood at 7.2. Pavitra Rishta on Zee comes close with a TVR of 5.8.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Pratigya on STAR Plus are at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively, garnering TVRs of 5.5 and 5.4 respectively. Balika Vadhu on Colors is at No. 5 and has managed to garner a TVR of 5.
