very sad to hear all this but i agree, mostly all MIL's seem controlling types..everybody has their own thinking and parents usually think that our children will follow our thinking...mil's r basically insecure abt their dil's and it's difficult for them to accept that our children don't need us anymore....gayitri is a very typical mil.......i've seen a lot of gayitri's but very few aksharas....if ur husband is supportive, half the battle if won...if u wanna give too much importance to what ur mil says, or u wanna go by HER thinking then u will surely spoil ur personal life..
