How different Maheshwari's (MS) and Singhania's (SS) are..both are respectable families but for one family is more imp and for others traditions are more imp.
1) MS agreed for their son's love marriage with only some arguments within their house and not a big propaganda..SS hearing Nandini's affair have just made it an issue, smiles gone, no one eating, all crying, Akshara at her maayka etc but still thinking what will others think about them..
2) MS their daughter's happiness is at the highest priority, SS their daughter's happiness is nothing infront of their traditions and their reputation (even now when Bhabhi maa is thinking she does not have guts to say anything)
3) MS sent their newly married son for HM but SS they dont even let them stay together and spend time together.
4) MS always understand the condition of their DILs (like when chacha and chachi had argument, Varsha was upset) but SS always think Munna (Naitik) will get upset, he will get angry, it is Akshara's mistake etc etc.
5) Naitik helped AKS during Bhola bhaiya's love marriage but against Aks when she is supporting his own sister.
From my thinking, family comes first . Its not that values and traditions are not valuable. They are definitely but they can last only if family members are happy. There are times when parents have to be strict in order to keep their family's values and reputation but there are some sensitive times like marriage decisions when you have to really look into what will be really right for the person involved. Is the girl or guy really good? Will they both be happy or not?
