i just looked up d meaning of akshara and its meaning was rice

that is not the meaning .....

Akshara means immortal, indestructible, eternal -- deathless love. In life everything dies except love. Love is the eternal element in existence. It is the bridge from the lowest to the highest.

i agree with lathika di.. akshara has also cum from word "akshar" which means god. wat u r sayin myst be a synonym.. but i m not too sure abt it..

yes i agree with moonlight in hindi "akshar" means a "letter"
