OK i need to vent about this....I just find this practice very odd...please tell me guys if this is still done these days?

I really dislike how the Singhania women of the house (Mata G, Bhaima, Akshara) stand around the table serving the men while the men peacefully eat. I understand that the men go to the office and work hard to earn the money...but the women also work hard to maintain the household. Each of them has their own responsibilities. But I just found it very much strange how they just stand around....just waiting to be of service. like, servants? I don't know.
Why can't everyone sit together and have a nice meal? They have many servants in case they need anything during dinner... 😕
