| Pooja Joshi better known as Varsha from Yeh Rishta… is a happy actress nowadays. And she has good enough reasons to be so. Yeh Rishta… is her fourth serial and finally she is getting her due! She has earlier done roles in Prithviraj Chauhan, Sujata and Meri Sasural , but the audience noticed her only after she started working in Yeh Rishta... Pooja who hails from Uttaranchal got her initial training in acting from her mother Geeta Joshi an actor herself. She acted in a number of documentary films and national shows. In fact, acting runs in their family as Pooja's younger sister Damini has also acted in Aladin in a cameo role. "She is just 19, is studying and also waiting for a new project," says the elder sister. "I have never planned my career. All credit for whatever I have done goes to Rajan (Shahi) Sir, who is my mentor. It is rare to come across people with such a nice soul these days. He always considers his cast as his family and that is what makes the whole difference," says Pooja who like her mentor thinks of Yeh Rishta Keya Kehlata Hai unit as one big family. "The best example of his success in in Hina's metamorphosis as an actor. When she joined, she was far away from what she is today. It is just because of Rajan Sir that she has become a complete actress," explains Pooja. Talking about how she spends time with her close friends Pooja says, "I spend a lot of time with Ather Habib and Hina Khan when they are not shooting. Sometime we order food from the restaurants and also chill out. Right now I am happy to be a part of this team. Though I am not bound by any contract with Directors Kut, I have faith in Rajan Sir and I am sure he will plan something good for me," says the pretty actress. |
