Akshara's behavior

Does anyone else find Akshara's simpering, fluttering, over the top shy behavior odd??? Or is it just me?? I've seen soooooo many soap heroines in different shows over the years but the degree to which the 'shy scared' girl character is overdone in this show is just something else. Does looking for a rishta really make a girl behave in this manner???😕😕......I have no experience in this matter, but if anyone else does, I'd love to hear it.

Oh yes I thought it was very realistic. I know a few who turned into a nervous wreck before the boy arrived. I don't think anyone can imagine what an uncomfortable experience this is, being paraded around judged by what they see. One wrong move and you are rejected. The whole day before the boy arrives they give you tons of advice, makes you so nervous, don't do this or that, you can't be yourself. It is tough I tell you. I think to state you are nervous is an understatement it is a difficult thing to go through. It is like writing an exam where you feel there is more chance of failing than passing.

I am not sure about her behavior in the rest of the episodes, this episode was more than realistic it was perfect.

I didn't mean this episode....I haven't watched today's episode yet. I mean the previous episodes....everything after the Rituraj fiasco to the recent ridiculous storyline of her falling ILL just because of worry over this rishta business??

Ya in Rithuraj's case she totally over reacted..but this time she is extremely nervous coz her last rishta didn't work n so she is holding on hopes to this one..so her nervousness is understandable n real..i've seen girls who get quite nervous over little things n maybe in future she'll grow into a much more stronger woman with Naitik's support

@Maya: Yes it will be nice to see her have Naitik as her support in her life, but why is she shown as SO helpless and unable to do ANYTHING???! A girl should have atleast SOME basic ability to stand up for herself, no??? Especially in today's day and age.....it's not like she's living in some remote village in some corner of the country...she's a modern girl attending college and everything....she hasn't been living under a rock....so why is it that she's shown as witless, helpless female??? Being a 'laadli' beti doesn't mean that one shouldn't even be able to THINK and stand up for herself! She has hardly done that since this show has started.....I found her character to be more realistic in the first few weeks of this show before this ristha finding business started....it's been very over the top since then.

Now that Naitik has entered, I hope things change from here on out because it is too much to handle to watch the way Akshara behaves like a fragile, helpless glass doll who can't deal with anything and her family on top of that acting so hyper over the smallest of issues😕

ya its sometimes hard to believe that she is a girl who attends college she acts like she's from a remote village..but some ladies do act fragile its in their nature..i know someone who couldn't even answer her name when the guy asked..she just cried lol..but now she's much mature

Well... at times i feel why is she so timid in this context may be the conservative approach by her family members and over protectiveness about the only daughter have got these all things... Plus she is literally scared of marriage and when her rishta wid Rituraj broke she was shattered the reason was dumb given by the family i mean whats wrong to be independant cant independant girls mannage post marriage...I know people who r working and also married...Anyways without deviating from the topic... I guess everything just put up on to her that she has developed phobia...How does Naitik n Akshara talk coz the scenes shown in SBS,SBB, HA and IF vdo makes me think he realizes she is nervous and comes to meet her again...may b as the story progresses they wd show how the character of Akshara shapes up... But yes i wnt deny ur nervous when ladke wale's come at ur place or rather cautious.... lolzz Happened to a frnd poor her.. she told us during mid lectures and my reaction was more funnier!!

ya the girl i mentioned was similar to Akshara she was brought up in a overly protected way by her family ..so this made her too weak..she ended up in tears n cudn't even tell her name..so Akshara is better in that case lol
n i'm sure they'll show Akshara growing from a scared girl to a strong woman..coz that's what the show is all about.. a girl's journey from a over protected n pampered girl to a mature married woman..maybe they have portrayed her in such a way coz they wanna show the transition n leave us surprised..but ya i'm still wondering how Akshara attends college n faces all the boys maybe they all think that she is a poor mute girl lol
