well,ya i agree in some parts of India it's a big thing..but it's not necessary the 1st rishta itself will happen..the marriage wasn't even fixed so instead of complaining n makin such a big deal they can find a better rishta

Dumb....was the first word that came to my mind when i heard this.

How disappointing it is that people now-a-days still think like this.....well then i wonder what wud they say to the guys family if he gets rejected more then once.

I don't agree with this..."rishta toota" means her rishta was fixed, and after saying yes, some problem happened ..that is called "rishta tootna" ...in this serial, there was no rishta in the first place..they r just looking for a suitable match for their daughter..and it's not necessary the first guy u select will say yes only..and if he says no then the family's reputation is tarnished..it never happens this way..
