Okay at the start of the show a boy called Alok in her college used to love her very much. One day in the market he insisted on helping her getting on a to a horse cart. He held her hand to help her and at the same time Akshara;s dad passed by in a car and he saw this. He thought that Akshara was going out with him. He got angry and after that this whole marriage lark came up. Her family decided to get her married and soon she had a proposal from Rituraj (Ali Merchant). The family and Akshara emt Rituraj and his family. He rejected her because she told him that she likes singing and her firends think that she could have a career in singing. He didn't like that and so rejected her. After that Shaurya and Varsha got married. Due to the rejection, Akshara used to get really nervous and always used to be depressed. She also didn't want to meet any new guys because she was scared of the fact that if she says anything wrong then she might get rejected again and her father's name might be destroyed. That's all that happened with her. Not much at all. Until Naitik came into her life!😆
