Heyy everyone! I am back with the Get-To-Know-The-Members Thread for today 😃
So now you know how much we missed this right Aayu?? Thanks so much for the bonus game!!!!This for me has by far been the best thread on this forum and the most profound because it really serves its purpose of getting to know the members! You are a pro at this.👏Loved the way everyone participated in the pervious thread 😳Me too. It was so spontaneous and at a time when everyone seems so disinterested in even visiting the forum and the LT's are performing disastrously!Bravo Aayu! Love you.🤗Here are the questions for the day --1. Do you believe each end has a new beginning? If yes, if you could quote an incident from your life.Yes I have started believing this for certain things. Most recent example being quite boring. My work timetable was changed most unceremoniously by my director who hates my guts for some strange reason. I have forever been a morning teacher 7.30 to 11.30 am and he has given me 2 pm to 6 pm. I was shell shocked not even able to digest it because such unfamiliar territory and when I went for my first classes of the session on Tuesday I really felt all zoned out and all as if I was in some alternate reality but I met a lot of colleagues I never get to meet, they seemed so genuinely happy to see me, with one of them we have decided that we could chill after we finish and my second class seems damn exciting and I get to sleep super late and wake up aram se plus I don;t have to rush rush rush.So feeling as if it's a new beginning. I know not a very exalting example but well. There are others. Can tell on some other occasion.2. The best thing you ever did for anyone? Maybe the poor, or a friend, a family member etc.Sorry can only think of dogs😆. I have given a loving home and the best care possible and oodles of pure unadulterated love to 3 stray dogs so far that I have adopted.Other than that, yes I have helped a whole lot of people in different ways very important ways.3. One experience of your life you will never forget! 😃An embarrassing experience when i was just a child. We lived in Karol Bagh then. I had gone to our landlord's place. They were Punjabis. Bali aunty offered me sweets because her daughter had landed a fantastic job or something like that (btw she became a big big shot in the corporate world after that) and since I was not aware of such things coming from a Tamil Brahmin household, I took the whole box of sweets thinking she was giving it to me. She was really pissed off with me and said something like you are just supposed to take one, haven't your parents taught you manners? I was so mollified I just picked up one sweet and ran back home trembling! I will never forget the shame and embarrassment I felt then. She was a wonderful person but well at least it taught me North Indian etiquettes.😆😆Hope you all will like answering these too :*
Padmaaa 🤗
I was just about to type my reply saying seems no one is here, I'll push the thread up 😆So my answers --1. I guess yeah, every end has a new beginning! At times things ending take a burden off you, they make you feel lighter and better. I felt that lately and it's so much better 😳 incidents well there are many but if I have to quote one, I dropped an year to get into a good college but then it so happened that I couldn't get into such a good college, that felt like an end to me, but in the college I rediscovered myself in many ways, so it was a new beginning, one that was written in my destiny :)- I agree. Sounds so awesome. Am so happy for you my dearest.2. I went to mumbai in January, I have lived in mumbai for 2 years so have a profound love for the place. There we went to Leopold Cafe on New year's eve. We ordered a lot of food but couldn't really finish it, while leaving from there we packed it thinking we'll eat that later on, on the footpath we saw a few children and their mum, we gave the food to them! My dad was like, they need it more than us and it filled my heart with so much pride that we started the year on such a good note 😳- This is so lovely to start the new year on such a lovely note. I love Leopold Cafe by the way. My favourite haunt in Bombay. I do this all the time Aayu. I have a lot of beggar friends at redlights. In fact they never ask me for money. They ask me for things they need. Nowadays it has become very specific like someone wants me to get her hair oil, someone else a red shawl, and a kid wants me to buy him a cycle he even offers to accompany me to buy it!My car's boot is filled with things to give away, all kinds of things. Yes there is a lot of joy in giving in general and to the needy in particular. We have a lot of interesting conversations when I am stuck at their redlights..😆3. One exprience I will not forget, umm I guess parasailing in Thailand. I have love for heights, I had missed doing the jump in Switzerland coz I had considered the monetary value of the thing and not the experience it would give me but what I did in Thailand, it was beyond explanation, those few seconds of pure joy and disconnect from the world, my own world, it was surreal.Wow. I am too scared to do such things! may be I should give it a try. Going to Thailand in December for a conference. Lemme see.🤗
1. Do you believe each end has a new beginning? If yes, if you could quote an incident from your life.Yes I do! After 12th Std, I was miserable. I'd ended by feeling extremely lost, defeated and completely demotivated. But then I landed up in this fantastic college and I'm back on the top, with friends and so much excitement and love for my study.😳2. The best thing you ever did for anyone? Maybe the poor, or a friend, a family member etc.During Mom's operation, when she was hospitalised for two weeks and my grandmom too was ill, I took charge of the household with exams. It was crazy, with sometimes maids gone missing and packing tiffins for all and even taking Mom's food to the hospital. Not heroic at all but I'm very proud of myself to do this, alone 😆3. One experience of your life you will never forget! 😃Many things I'll never forget. But this incident has shook me so much-I'd gone on a hillstation with family. We had gone on a night trip to a shrine on the mountain. And due to rains, the ground was wet. I was with my aunt and not with mom. My Socks got wet as I didnt have Shoes on.And the whole night, I was in wet socks and chilling weather and breeze. As I was small, I'd gone to sleep by dawn but then I wasn't waking up. Soon everyone realised that I was actually unconscious. And then even the doctor wasn't available. The compounder gave me an injection but told that there's no guarantee of my regaining consciousness and I was apparently 'sleeping' since 4 hours. I faintly recollect scared faces rubbing my legs but looked like I couldn't understand what it was, then.Nothing to worry though, I'm fit 😆

Loved the way everyone participated in the pervious thread 😳Here are the questions for the day --1. Do you believe each end has a new beginning? If yes, if you could quote an incident from your life. Its a perspective. Kinda like glass is half full vs half empty. Positivity only helps.2. The best thing you ever did for anyone? Maybe the poor, or a friend, a family member etc.I guess bringing my sister to US for higher studies.3. One experience of your life you will never forget! 😃Ofcourse my son's birth.Hope you all will like answering these too :*
