Liked the episode for exactly the same reasons you mentioned. I also wrote to Mahi last night that it wasn't the episode so much rather the news that shooting wrapping up earlier than thought.

Well said about Siddhant not knowing his ground and it's good that the creators have made him take a step back and let the Anu manage the situation...for now... I'm sure as you have stated it, he will be a good knight ... strategies before going after the 'King'
