me warn you, before you read, I really tried to control but, it has run to be a longish post. And there, I let off the steam! If long posts are not your cup of tea, can I pls. pls. request you to read only the PSes at the end. There are 8 PS. Please!
If you are used to my rants by now, you already might know,
I am addicted to preludes than the actual content. No different here.
Why the post? So, I had this wonderful 2+ days in a forum
that welcomed me with open arms! and a forum having its own rules and way of being. And happy, content in their little world. There was always this undercurrent of the show
nearing its end, a silent beast lurking around; closer to todays' episode time, the
beast roars giving a jolt to the forum. And then the episode starts. Wrong
time, I say!
My forum friends watch it and come back very upset. I am in
the UK, have not watched the episode till then. The LTs are not moving. The
episode discussion thread stuck at 5/6 pages. All I see around is gloom, people
being each others' strength and shared hugs etc., And the beast has won!
I read the precap, I read the written
update nothing is letting me see what my friends had seen. I quickly run cook
& have dinner be back to watch the episode. Once I watch, I had to write this post
of "what I saw".
Now to the episode, today I saw it as characters being
played and so going the same way in the post.
Gayatri-ma no second thoughts; she indeed was annoying. If
she wasn't, we aren't Siduksha fans!
Lets take few steps back. She is the one who was upset and
showed Sid her dissent when he took KK's offer. I still remember the resolve
she had when she mentions, she will no
longer sit in that chair and wait like how she did for PS. She is the one who
without thinking much threw Sid outside the house, when she felt he was at
wrong. She was the same mother who was adamant about Sid not marrying Anushka
and went to the level of revealing the truth that Sid couldn't get off his
chest! So, she had been this strong woman living by what she feels right.
And So, do we blame her for how she behaved. Well, yes and a
no. Not a blame on her dislike. But, what she could have achieved by giving a silent
treatment or being subtle which is more like her, she did it with venomous
words.
So, I get why the fandom is mad. Maybe, I get why she does
that too - at the end, she is a mother who is warned of threat to her son's
life. And she had seen KK's word-play and drama at her house, and fears the
worst. What she doesn't think is Anushka or no Anushka the threat remains!
KK he pulled a fast-one and Sid had no defence. Sid at
this moment has no ammunition and that is KK's strength. KK even came out clean saying there is a MU that he was responsible for PS's death, a very smart move from his side. He played his game
really well. And now, he has got an additional trump card in the form of Karva.
Yet to see what unfolds.
For me he was portrayed very consistent with his character,
today. Do we really expect a king-pin, one who built an empire by his crooked
means to not fight nasty? If he had been shown helpless, they would have ruined his
character. This conniving part is what he is. So, lets just wait for him to
open his cards, then Sid/Anu can move accordingly. Now, Sid has to just wait
and watch; not for long!
Karthik/Nupur nothing new, nothing out of place. And the
conversation also started very normally & logically about the bail. And it
naturally progressed to its boiling point, as would happen with any couple.Ticked.
Purva nothing particular
to talk about her today. OK that she got to now and roamed being confused. I didnt read much off her today.
Siddhant surprising, but am not having anything particular to write about,
as he was on his guard today. It wasn't his ground, wasn't his game. He was a
pawn today in someone else's game. Let him observe and let him come back
roaring. We will analyse him at that juncture.
I am keen to see what he has to
say/do tomorrow after the precap scene. That is his test, am waiting to see how
he fares.
Anuskha she is a beauty; no, not just the physical beauty.
What a character! She stood by her father, she stood by her Siddhant and she
stood by the rules that Gayatri-ma said. Do we realise, how conflicting all
these are and still she pulled it off?
Would we have been happy if she started
doubting her father today? She is our beauty with brains: remember, Sid's
efforts to keep her distracted with updates about the pharmaceutical deal were defeated? Remember, during the marriage drama, she didn't need a Siddhant to explain in detail on why he did,
what he did, she arrived it all by herself, by sequencing things in her head. So,
would it look right that she stands against her father suddenly with no logic other than her trusted people saying so? She will get
there; but she has to be given directions to get there.
Siduksha. Now this is the important part. The crux of the show. And did
it deliver to me today? Totally yes! I am bowled over by the maturity the creators
have used on this characters. The unshakeable trust they hold, as long as this
is shown intact, I can fight all the above mentioned demons! A very open
conversation they have and they have the clarity to keep their love and
opinion about KK as two separate things. What more can I ask for?
Nothing about
this marriage and its happiness changes for Anu. And Sid is content having her
close by. They are in this mess together. Yeh pyaar nahi toh kya hai?
PS1: I meandered and do not know how successful I was in trying to share what I wanted to. If not, in one quick line I will summarise: am not liking these long faces in the forum. There is nothing much wrong in the episodes. Yes, there will be hiccups, but am sure the beauty is not still lost.
PS2: if you are bored of such posts, the only way to stop me repeating this, is by being cheerful.
PS3: there are things that we can change; there are things that we cannot. Lets handle the ones we can change - which is bringing in smiles around!
PS4: am nowhere saying the episode was flawless, but it wasnt depressing too.
PS5: it is less of an issue in the episode ; and more on the news about the shut-down. Like Siduksha, we should be able to separate them and treat them differently. we can try, cant we?
PS6: I have seen shows getting shutdown from this PH and it was so terrible that the ML that I adored was reduced to his own miniature self in the last few episdoes. I am telling you, it hurts so much, when they spoil the characters. So, all I am saying is this show still has the characters intact, which is a reason to celebrate. So, lets allow them some slack on if there is a rush or body double or incorrect angles!
PS7: last but not the least, I know, all this open ends & no-time left, will force a cut down on Siduksha; all we can do is hope, that is not the case. And with no impact to the story progress!
