Apparently, Lata Mangeshkar was supposed to sing this song along with Kishore Kumar. But she got late for the recording. That is when Kishore Kumar convinced the that he can sing the song in both male and female voice.

KK singing for himself dressed up as female 😆

KK singing for Pran - male voice:
