He knows but he doesn't want Anushka to know he knows. Because if Anushka tells him, he either might not be able to refuse her or if he refuses his daughter will be upset with him that he doesn't want.
Sometimes ignorance is bliss so he is being ignorant. In my opinion. For someone as perceptive as kk is difficult to believe he doesn't know.
Another explanation could be when it comes to our kids we are the most naive.

But his soul don't allow him to agree on his..

So many things.. like status ,power ,money. All this thing matters to kk..

Friend ship is on its place.
