its ironic you know. PS who was actually very independent and free was of the opinion that conditioning the brain with information(different from knowledge) would instill good education. its almost funny. and honestly there would have been other schools with good quality education minus rich kids naa?
We don't know if Siddhant ever expressed any anguish to his father to leave that School or not either.
thats the deal. if he was so concerned about his kids' choices then shouldn't he have observed things closely. wen ur kid doesnt get guy friends home isnt it all too obvious?
Often path that Sid takes is dangerous and as a father PS could not have kept quiet. However, I am not saying PS is an angel. He has his short comings too. He should have shared more with Sid and formed a more open and friendlier relationship with his kids. Sometimes he refused to share certain things with his wife too. He thought he was protecting them
But I do not agree with that either. Siddhant does the same. He keeps many things away from his loved ones.
Everything else I love about him.
agreed. i would say that often protection is suffocating and leads to helplessness.

we are almost on the same page tanu. thats wat i meant that ps is not an angel. he had his shortcomings and this is that.

my previous post was solely based on ps's shortcomings because i was trying to put forth y he wasnt all white.

that doesnt negate the fact that he was otherwise a very wise man.

In real life middle class father's are often like that. Specially with sons. They usually have closer relation with daughters.

Was there a spoiler that Sudanshu will be shot?

Who would harm Sudanshu? Certainly not KK. And for the very same reason that Sidhanth would feel bad, Sudanshu should go unharmed.

If anyone hurts him at all, it would be Heera . I even feel she has the driver spying on Sidhant. She knows first hand what Sid is capable of, so I think she is expertly misleading him. That is, if anyone at all is aware of what Sid is up to!

I think it will be something else. Didn't we have a spoiler picture of Ridhi leaving? I think it is only a fight. KK would always deal with his enemies through business. He wouldn't murder someone .

My 2 cents - I feel Prabhakar put his children in the school with the best facilities, not necessarily because it was rich kid's school. He himself came from a small town and had no problem moving in big circles. I bet Purva went to the same school as Sidhant - doesn't seem to have any hangups. It is part luck and part adjustment . Purva would have been lucky to find nice friends and she wouldn't have reacted much even if someone tried to humiliate her. She has this jolly attitude, so people would accept her. Sidhant is a fighter - wouldn't gel with people he can't agree with - so they would naturally gang up on him.

PS as a husband and father was not perfect. Both his children felt they had to admire him from a distance. As a husband, Gayatri still recalls the times she waited up and hints to Sidhanth that she cannot be waiting all her life for her son too.

I feel children have different needs. Anushka would have understood PS perfectly as he understood her too. When it came to his own children, PS realised late that they had different needs because their ambitions were different. Understanding the individual needs of each child is very important in parenting.

it affected sid so much that he made becoming rich the goal of his life. understand where this comes from. its coz of ps's distorted judgement. and to add to this sid never found the kind of warmth he wanted from ps.

@ Najma- Agree with u about Prabhakar!

@ Mahi- Prabhakar was human! He must have had his share of life learning experiences! Greatness does not lie in perfection. Mistakes happen. One has to learn from it! I am curious to see the equation of Prabhakar and Heera based on his talks with Gayatri before his death, the scene where they get the Patna tickets!

Also want to see things from Heera's perspective!

@Hiya- The only thing I agree is the problem of KK- Neeta and Siddhant school situation is of Class conflict!

PS and Sid- Parent and child relationship

KK- Neeta- Husband wife relationship

They are different!

PS has had some share of his struggle which was mentioned in the passing. I would have liked PS to give more time to his kids, so they would have understood his position or his take on life. I guess he was busy in KKR. The talk he had with Purva..about hard work, being grounded etc. , why he could not have them when they were young??? Also why the parents did not recognize Sid's school problems ? Was he so much introvert?

Sid's reasons to become rich were because of his issues with Anushka. She was different from the lot and when he lost her ..which was also due to class conflict...his ambition became the monies! It was his idea of happiness that was distorted not PS's.

PS - Sid bond was to die for- It was understated and unexpressed. Agree PS the father could have given more time to his son ..but lack of warmth..no..How can a relationship be so beautiful when there is no warmth? Why is Sid on the revenge mode now??? For who?

Love ur last sentence about mistakes. Success never occurs in the absence of failures! However PS was talking about making choices not about making mistakes! PS said truth is unidimensional. There can be no two ways about it!

KK - Neeta- Problem. Only similarity is the class conflict according to me!
