I go there every year once, during vacations, barring this year!😭
It's a hell lot of hot, I always fall sick courtesy the Loo. But nonetheless I visit it!
I'm from proper Varanasi city. 😆
What's the village's name? Jaunpur?

Fresh veggies! That's it - my sole purpose! Open spaces, greenery & also the warmth in people there, it's so amazing! And paan 😆😛

Even I'm a Mumbaikar. :P
Here everyone's Hindi is too bad. But thankfully, I'm still sorted on the major aspects of the language.😆

Mahi meri jaan,

Niki,
Awesome post❤️
I have the Patna, Bihari connection too! My hubby is a Bihari from Patna! Though in the serial they speak Bhojpuri, my hubby speaks 'Magadhi' a dialect of Hindi! Can't tell u how much I laughed on Anu's dialog "Hum" to Sid!!! It's a every day thing in my house!
This was one of my favorite questions to my hubby-
Sab log Bihar mein "hum" karke kyon bolte hain???😆

The makers are not only getting the lingo right, but also the small detailing, like in the Sinha's house u will notice when Prabhakar was struggling with his tie (Uff Mahadev, Kisisko itna handsome na banao😉, that episode)the dressing table had the wooden sindoor dani which houses the sindoor so typical of the Bihari household. Also the food they talk about- Thekua, Besan halwa and off course the famous litti- chokha!

Jha nd team have done an excellent job! Looking forward to the Bihari shaadi!

Though have not been to Varanasi, it is one of my favorite cities in the world! Hopefully will be able to travel there with my kids some day! Kashi Temple, Ganga aarti, Khasta kachori, and of course the Benarsi Saris 😳 ...all on to do list!

@ bold: all the things you mentioned are absolute ❤️

Great observations on the detailing by CVs. no wonder YPN is class apart😊

Aww Veda!
By here I meant in Mumbai, specially in my area!😆

Allahabad, wow! I'd been to Kumbh once and it was a terrible experience
But the city's lovely 😳

You will love Varanasi. Specially the Vishwanath temple bazaar and Dasasumedh ghaat aarti!
Don't forget to visit BHU. It just amazing. And it's Birla temple 😳
I love everything about Benaras!
You're so lucky, you've your Sid 😆

I am happy that the makers got the Bihari part correct.
Because they have mixed up the South traditions completely. Reddy's are basically Telugu from AP but here we see a mix of Tamil, Telugu and even Kannada traditions.

They got bihari culture right but got telugu culture wrong .chalo atleast one part is relatable.
