Building on the comparisons you made, KK is much more inclusive than Prabhakar was. KK's family does not stand behind him.. they are with him. I also find it interesting that Prabhakar was not into vegetables garden.. while KK has a little veggie patch of his own.
Moreover, prabhakar was always trying to protect his family from his perceived ill-effects of consumerism while KK is busy ensuring his Telugu legacy is always included in this pseudo-gulti-punjabi household!
Anu always ends up picking Sinhas over Reddys though. I am so apprehensive thinking what future holds. That scene where they are both speaking to their teen self
